Sognsvann is a 3.3 km circumference lake just north of Oslo, Norway.
Lying just within the greenbelt around Oslo, the lake is a popular recreational area, used as a camping, picnicking and bathing destination for the residents of Oslo during the summer, as well as a cross-country skiing, skating and ice fishing destination in the winter. The trail around it is used for walking or jogging all year. Every year in August, swimming and running take part in Sognsvann as part of the Oslo Triathlon.

Cycling around the lake is prohibited due to large number of people covering this road on foot. Disabled access is good to and around the lake.
Part of the lake's popularity stems from its easy access from Oslo; Sognsvann station, located on the south end of the lake, is the final stop on line 5 on the Oslo Metro.
Svartkulp (The black pool), a small forest lake which is one of three nudist beaches in Oslo, lies a few hundred meters to the east of Sognsvann. The geographical center of Oslo municipality and county lies in the middle of this pool.

Sognsvann is a beautiful lake which lies in the north of Oslo. During the winter, the lake is covered with snow. But in summer, people come here for jogging, sunbathing and just to feel the nature. I feel blessed to be leaving near such a breath taking place which I call heaven on earth

Norway - Exploring Nature in Oslo. Oslo was a wonderful place to see. Oslo has a lot to offer with beautiful weather all year round. From snowy scenes to warm summers. It's a great starting point for any travels in Norway. I explored the local forest in Norway called Sognsvann which has a large lake and wild forest. During this vlog I talk about how to find calm in the chaos that is a new location, especially when there is a lot going on and it is difficult to find a subject. Beautiful Lake near Oslo, Place called Sognsvann.
Its completely frozen , temp was around -1 .it was my first ever experience to walk on a frozen lake, It can be little scary, when you see cracks on ice when you walk over the lake.Any ways I was happy to see lots of people enjoying ice hockey, Ice sating, Even dogs , little puppies where walking on the ice.It was a wonderful day ,it was sunny.We enjoyed a lot.

FINDING A FROZEN LAKE OUTSIDE THE CITY | Oslo, Norway
After growing a bit tired of seeing so many cities, we spent the majority of our time in Norway walking to a lake a little outside of Oslo. Walking around (and on) the lake, we got our nature fix before heading back into the city to take some time lapses of the Royal Palace, learn how to slackline, and admire the many ships along Oslo's docks.
