???????? Srednjovjekovni plemićki grad Sokolac, s malenog uzvišenja u središtu Brinja, spomenik nulte kategorije i simbol Brinja, budno bdije nad svojim stanovnicima. To veličanstveno zdanje izgrađeno je početkom 15. stoljeća od knezova krčkih Frankopana, ispod čijih se zidina i razvilo naselje.

U to doba Sokolac je bio središte političkog, gospodarskog i kulturnog života, svratište iznimnih povijesnih ličnosti, poput kralja Žigmunda Luksemburškog i danskog kralja Ericha VII.

Kapela sv. Trojstva, jedan od najljepših kasnogotičkih sakralnih spomenika u Hrvatskoj.

U kapeli središnji prostor zauzima osmerokutni brod na koji se s jedne strane nastavlja svetište kapele, a s druge strane, veličinom jednak, prostor posvećen Gospi od Sedam žalosti.

U 17. stoljeću u kapelu se postavljaju novi maniristički oltari u koje su ukomponirani gotički kipovi Madone s djetetom Isusom i Piete, s početka 15. stoljeća. Na gotičkim svodovima u kripti i na katu reljefno su, u kamenu, uklesani grbovi Frankopana i Gorjanskih.

U lipnju 2007. godine, u supstrukciji kapele, postavljena je stalna izložba naziva „Plemićki grad Sokolac“ koja posjetiteljima nudi informacije o Sokolcu i ulozi knezova Krčkih u hrvatskoj povijesti.


???????? The medieval aristocratic town of Sokolac, with its small elevation in the center of Brinje, a zero category monument and the symbol of Brinje, is vigilantly watching over its inhabitants. This magnificent building was built at the beginning of the 15th century by the princes of Frankopan of Krk, under whose walls a settlement developed.

At that time, Sokolac was the center of political, economic and cultural life, a haunt of exceptional historical figures such as King Sigmund of Luxembourg and King Erich VII of Denmark.

Chapel of St. Trinity, one of the most beautiful late Gothic sacral monuments in Croatia.

In the chapel, the central space is occupied by an octagonal nave, on which the shrine of the chapel continues on the one hand, and on the other, in size equal, a space dedicated to Our Lady of Seven Sorrows.

In the 17th century new chapels were erected in the chapel, incorporating Gothic statues of the Madonna with the infant Jesus and Pieta from the beginning of the 15th century. On the Gothic vaults in the crypt and upstairs, the emblems of Frankopan and Gorjansky are carved in stone.

In June 2007, in the substitution of the chapel, a permanent exhibition called The Noble City of Sokolac was set up, offering visitors information on Sokolac and the role of the princes of Krka in Croatian history.

At the foot of Kapela, green mountains of Lika... as the song says, in the north-western part of Lika regionin Lika-Senj County there is a small town of Brinje. Brinje is located in the karst basin of Brinjsko Polje between the slopes of two mountain ranges, Velebit and Velika Kapela. Brinje lies on the route of the old Josephine road, at the intersection of the state road Duga Resa-Josipdol-Žuta Lokva-Senj and along the present Zagreb -- Split motorway.

The restaurant opened in 1989 and since then has built its identity as part of the rich gastro offer of the town of Brinje.
