Nielsen - Phantasie (Østerlind & Winkelmann)
Tage Højby Nielsen: Phantasie, op. 39 (1958)
Carl-Oscar Østerlind, cello
Moritz Winkelmann, piano
Recorded at Glyptoteket in Copenhagen, January 21, 2015

As a composer, he belonged to the circles aournd Det Unge Tonekunstnerselskab where some of his works were performed in the 1950s. But only a few of his 30 organ chorales were published. The remainder of his production has never been published. In 1967, Tage Højby Nielsen retired from the music life and worked as a psychoanalyst.

Kolorit sings I Elverhjem arr. by Niels Graesholm
Copenhagen choir Kolorit (vokalgruppen.dk) sings I Elverhjem, or Bonden og Elverpigen (translation below), arranged and conducted by Niels Graesholm, composer and faculty at Copenhagen University's Music Institute. Kolorit is an 18-person vocal group rehearsing Thursday evenings in Frederiksberg, specializing in modern arrangements of South American and Scandinavian traditional songs. Contact the choir if you are interested in joining or visiting rehearsal! Although non-auditioned, many members of Kolorit are professional musicians. Recorded in concert at Solbjerg Kirke in Frederiksberg (next to Copenhagen) on May 19, 2013 using a Zoom H2 (2008) on MP3 setting and Flip Videocam (2007). Acoustic is natural, audio has light EQ adjustment using Polderbits.
I believe the song is a Danish folk melody made famous more recently by Sorten Muld with the name Bonden og Elverpigen. You can find the Danish text by Grundtvig (revered Danish writer/philosopher) here: which is related to the longer version here:
Translation (as we sang it, which is slightly paraphrased):
There lived a farmer a little south of our river, (for I'm still longing)
Of sons he had four, of daughters - two. (I'll be yearning all of my days)
There lived a farmer a little south of our river, (for I'm still longing)
Everything that he wanted he could get. (I'll be yearning all of my days)
There lived a girl in the river's incessant flow, (for I'm still longing)
Never does anyone forget a figure so beautiful. (I'll be yearning all of my days)
At night she crept into the farmer's dream, (for I'm still longing)
Now in the early morning the farmer simply must see her. (I'll be yearning all of my days)
He rode into the stream, but the horse slipped, (for I'm still longing)
And never again did the farmer see the elf-girl. (I'll be longing all of my days)
