Valsad, also known as Bulsar, is a municipality in the Valsad district of the Indian state of Gujarat. This city has a collectorate, a district court, and a police headquarters with a historic prison.
Historically, Valsad was a small town covered with forest, with teak production as a major regional industry. It was a part of regional kingdom before colonial era. It was made a district during the Bombay Presidency era, and was governed under Bombay State during the colonial era, following independence (prior to the creation of the state of Gujarat). Today, Valsad is a town inhabited by Gujarati people. Gujarati is the primary language in and around the town.
The main religion followed in the region is Hinduism. Other minority religions include Islam, Christianity, Jainism, Zoroastrian, and Sikhism.
A tourist destination, the best time to visit Bulsar is in June–July, post-monsoon, when the roads in and around town are at their best.
Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury had family origins in Valsad, and his original family name (Bulsara) is derived from the former name of the city. Former Bollywood actresses Nirupa Roy and Bindu are also from Valsad.

The Gangeshwar temple (Diu - Gujarat - India)
(EN) This is situated 3 Km away from Diu in Fudam village. Five shivlings, are located in the midst of the rocks on the seashore, washed by the tidal waves of the sea. It is believed that the 5 Pandavas during their exile worshipped Lord Shiva in this temple.
The gentle sea waves offering their obeisance to the Shiva Lingas in stone have a mystic aura around them in the cave temple of Gangeshwar where the Lord makes his presence felt.

Stepped in history, culture, spirituality and religion, Junagadh is the Soul of Saurastra. In just 60 km the terrain descends from Mt Girnar, Gujarat's highest point at 1000 meter, to the Veraval coast. The Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is the only remaining habitat of the pure Asiatic Lion. The countryside has much to offer but calls for a determined effort to places in veraval-Patan and Junagadh city are a must on the intinerary of the traveler in Saurastra. Junagadh, nestled at the foot of Mt Girnar, is an amazing amalgam of the old and new.It is a relatively small place, where bustling bazaars and winding narrow streets alternate with monuments that span two millennia and civic spaces that must have been gracious before they suffered crowding and encroachment.

Dada Bhagwan Adalaj Trimandir in Gujarat
Adalaj Trimandir temple complex covers an area of 40,175 sq ft, while the temple podium is 20,895 sq ft. The entire complex is surrounded by a lush, green garden with benches, as well as a beautiful fountain at the centre. The Satsang Hall is on the ground floor of the temple and is 31,861 sq ft.
The temple also has an informative museum and mini-theatre on Gnani Purush Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, around whose vision the Trimandir has been built. His aim was to remove the differences between religions and further to bring religions back to the seat of the Soul. Building a non-sectarian temple was one of the ways that His vision is being fulfilled. The museum has approximately 3,00,000 visitors in a year, and the mini-theatre runs approximately 9,400 shows in Gujarati, Hindi and English, in which there are 2,22,000 viewers.
Within the temple, the idols of Gods of Jainism, Shaivism, and Vaishnavism (along with Gods and Goddesses from other religions) share equal reverence on the same platform. At the centre is the idol of Lord Shree Simandhar Swami, which is 155 inches, and is made entirely of marble.

The Nagoa beach (Diu - Union territory of Daman and Diu - India)
(EN) Diu is a city in Diu district in the union territory of Daman and Diu, India. It was the location of the pivotal Battle of Diu in 1509 between Portugal and a combined force of Turkey, Egypt, Venice, the Republic of Ragusa (now known as Dubrovnik) and the then Sultan of Gujarat, Mahmud Begada.
Diu District is an island lying off the south coast of Gujarat's Kathiawar peninsula, separated from the mainland by a tidal creek. It has an area of 40 km², and a population of 44,110 (2001 census). The town of Diu lies at the eastern end of the island, and is known for its fortress and old Portuguese Cathedral. It is also a fishing town. The village of Ghoghla, which lies on the mainland opposite the eastern end of the island, is also part of the union territory. Note that in Google Maps you can find Diu with the name of Dangarvadi.
The tourist season spans September to May. Recommended clothing are cottons in summer, light woolens in winter. The languages spoken in Diu include Gujarati, English, Hindi, and Portuguese. Local transport is available from Una (Gujarat). Tourist destinations include the nearby Nagoa beach. An exciting past time is the boat ride to a light house, in the middle of the sea. There is also a very ancient Lord Shiva's Temple located on the Gangeswar coast. Old Diu has some very interesting architecture that can be seen from the island's streets. This includes the old fort, the church, and the museum, which all have a strong Portuguese feel. Jet Airways services the island from the mainland, landing at Diu Airport. For more information, visit Diu Tourism's official website [1] Or visit Tourism Information on Diu
Many people confuse Diu with Daman. Although people refer to them together, they are different places (approximately 662 km kilometres from each other).
