Soni-kogen or Soni highland is situated in Soni village of Nara prefecture.
There is nothign but a bunch of susuki, Japanese silver grass there. But a lot of visitors come to this place every fall.
It is the moment when the golden field of susuki turns silver in the backlight of the sunset that attracts them.
I made this video in order to share such a beautiful moment in Soni highland with you, although I don't know whether my attempt works well.
I'd be very happy if this video made you want to visit this relatively unknown tourist spot to overseas travelers.

Soni Mura - Japanese Country Village
Went on a tour with some friends to Soni Mura, a village near my home city. It was a rainy day, but we still got to see some really nice places and a lion dance festival. Soni Mura is in Mie prefecture which is in the center of Japan, the tour was done by ENNTours of Nabari City.

Soni Kogen in Nara Prefecture, Japan is a large plateau with lots of beautiful pampas grass blowing in the breeze everywhere you look.
The atmosphere on the day I went was very peace and jovial all at once. Cold too! But that's a given...
