Trevor Sorbie International - International Advertising Campaign
The Brief:
Trevor Sorbie International approached me after the success of the British Hair Awards collection I shot for their Manchester salon.
They needed a photographer to work with their artistic team in London to capture their new COHESION collection.
The challenge was to create a series of images that had the feel of a premium fashion campaign rather than your typical hair shots, which they could use to promote the Trevor Sorbie Training Academy across Europe & Asia.

Save the Machars
The Machars in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, is a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty. It sustains itself mainly through tourism and farming and has remained relatively unchanged for centuries. Sadly, the area is now under threat from the construction of huge industrial wind turbines which will pollute our land and rivers, marginalise our precious wildlife, destroy our peat bogs, flatten our woodlands and endanger our community.
The mission of Save the Machars is to stop the industrialisation of this landscape, to support the local communities and protect our wildlife. You can help us by signing our petition, and writing letters to Dumfries & Galloway Council, the Scottish Government, and your MP.
As well as signing our petition, please help us in our cause by Liking our Facebook page, where you can also keep up-to-date with our progress, see the latest news, and view more photographs.

Cornish stone built to last
Built to last is a short film about Rebecca and her husband who were rebuilding their house and wanted to use local materials. Sustainability was important to them. They also wanted some slate paving slabs to complement the Cornish stone used for their walls and for their new fireplace to use the same stone as the outside of their home.
Rebecca saved money and created a really nice effect by using strips of stone to form a nice slate fireplace hearth. The family home made really good use of natural materials to create just the effect they wanted.
Lantoom’s director Richard talks on the film about Lantoom’s approach to sustainability. Lantoom thinks the most important consideration in choosing sustainable building materials is how durable they are. Lantoom stone has been used in some projects for repairs to buildings which are hundreds of years old. In some cases local stone is not available or is prohibitively expensive. Lantoom also has solutions to this problem through its worldwide network of quarries supplying stone of all kinds.
