COOKING CLASS IN MARRAKECH - VLOG - THE SOUK DEPARTMENT
One of the most fun activities to do in Marrakech is to take a cooking class. You go ingredient shopping inside the souks, find the best spices, meat, fish and veggies for your meals and prepare them at a gorgeous riad. I like to take my cooking classes at Gemma from Souk Cuisine and in this video I'm taking you with me.

WHAT IS THE SOUK DEPARTMENT?
The Souk Department is created by me, Claimy Anthonissen. A dutch girl who lost her heart in Marrakech. With The Souk Department, I organize all sorts of things in Marrakech. Most of them are workations where we explore the city with 10 girlbosses and brainstorm, follow masterminds and workshops about our companies. Next to that, I help (travel) bloggers with their travels to Marrakech, organize shoots in the city and create custom made trips for all kinds of businesses and private persons.
MOROCCAN FOOD COOKING CLASS | Marrakech Travel Vlog
We took a cooking class in Marrekch!! We learned how to make 5 different moroccan salads, tajine, and a light desert. The experience was booked through AirBnb and we'll link it below!! We had such a great time and we'd recommend Leila's cooking class to EVERYONE (we aren't paid to say this - we paid full price for the class and are just giving our honest opinion). The best part (besides the tastiness of the food) was meeting new friends!! Thanks to Heather, Abbie, Ashley, Gavin, Christina (not pictured), Yasser, and Chef Leila of course for having a great time with us!!
During this vlog, we still haven't received our bags yet!!

MARRAKECH STREET FOOD, SOUKS, KITTENS AND TANNERIES | Morocco Travel Vlog
The first day in Marrakech was full of street foods, Moroccan cats, and visiting the markets and tanneries. We ran around all day eating chicken shawarma and falafel sandwiches, exploring the souks (local markets) and eating there, visiting the tanneries (leather markets), and finding cute cats EVERYWHERE, despite having lost our luggage with Royal Air Maroc.

Walking Tour of Marrakech -- Morocco Old Medina Souk【4K】????????
Welcome to Marrakech, Morocco. A new Walking Tour of the Old Medina (Old City) and Main Square Djemaa El-Fna across of endless labyrinths of souks. In 4K by Wanna Walk
The common English spelling is Marrakesh and Marrakech in French is also widely used. I was told that the name Marrakech comes from the words amur kush which means The Land of God. This is the third largest city in Morocco with less population than Casablanca and Fez. The city lies near of the Atlas Mountains and it's pretty close to the Sahara Desert.
There are two very distinctive areas in Marrakesh: one is the Old Medina (old city) and the new Marrakesh, which is a kinda European style district called Ville Nouvelle or Gueliz. If you wanna walk, everything in the Old Medina can be seen on foot. A GPS is key because it's a laberintic area and you may not want to constantly ask for help to locals.

This is a new Wanna Walk tour in North Africa! The Medina is the old, historic district of Marrakech and the main square in the Medina is Djemaa El-Fna, surrounded by endless labyrinths of souks covering all of the Medina.

MARRAKECH, Morocco — Video Walk【4K】????????
At night this area gets crowded as people navigate toward the exotic aromas and sights where exotic and hypnotic music appears louder too. There are many things to see and do in Marrakech. Walking around the souks will take you many hours as well as several historical and architectural places and some interesting museums.
What is Jemaa el-Fnaa? It’s a very popular square market in Marrakesh, medina quarter, Morocco. Also called Jemaa el-Fnaa (Arabic: ساحة جامع الفناء and Jemaa el-Fna, Djema el-Fna or Djemaa el-Fnaa) square and market.

What to see? The square of Djemaa El-Fna is very popular, in particular in the Marrakech's night. This place offers musicians, story tellers, drum beats, food, fruit juices, things like that. There are also some insisting Arab women wanting to give you a henna tattoo. I strongly recommend to totally ignore anyone who offers you something like a photo with a poor monkey or a snake over your shoulder.

The markets of Marrakech (Souks or suuqs) close to Place Djemaa El-Fna offers almost anything, from souvenirs to spices, tea pots, tanginess, shoes, and much more. Being a foreigner means you'll pay more. The Koutoubia Mosque is right besides Djemaa El-Fna. The minaret of the mosque very popular and visible from almost all the city. As with most mosques in Morocco, non-Muslims are not allowed inside. Walking Tour of Marrakech -- Morocco Old Medina Souk

Be sure to visit some Riad. This is a Moroccan house with an internal courtyard and all windows are facing the central atrium. This design is classic in the Islamic tradition. Riads are great places to stay and offer an intimate and relaxing.

MOROCCAN FOOD IN MARRAKECH & LONG FLIGHT VLOG
We eat some amazing Moroccan food in Marrakech before a long haul flight home. This is a long flight vlog, we're flying Marrakech, Morocco to Managua, Nicaragua. This is not a flight I recommend anyone taking and not sure why I even signed up for it really... I've got my long flight outfit on which is the warmest stuff I have, on a long flight home you want to stay warm. Long flights are long flights and part of international travel. Some airport tips you don't want to miss are never get too comfy so you miss your fight and never fall asleep or you might miss your flight. Also long haul flights aren't so bad once you get over the hum which is a few hours into it. Moroccan food is some of my favourite and I even brought a tajine home, how could I not?
