CHILL CAFE BAR AND GRILL | HASTINGS BOARDWALK | SOUTH COAST | BARBADOS
Fantastic Bar to Chill !” Absolutely love this Bar. The atmosphere is exactly what the name of the bar is.
The boardwalk has had areas of unused land and a few restaurants .More small bars and street food units are opening and this is one and very good it is .A bar serving lots of cocktails with bar stools and also picnic tables and just before we left the introduction of beach type seats pointing to the great view of the sea. Happy hour is 6-8pm meaning a banks beer is 3 Barbados dollars a bargain .The food is cooked in a small cabin at the side of bar and as it is cooked to order when busy it make take a little longer. We found the food decent at a great price .A good venue worth a visit .

Barbados' South Coast's Boardwalk | Walking in Barbados | Wine & Rum
A little Barbados travel guide for fellow millenial travel couples: One of our favourite things to do in Barbados is walking along the Richard Heynes Boardwalk on the South Coast of the island. It's a great place to meet up with friends or just enjoy a stroll along the beach without getting your feet all sandy.

Tropical Paradise - Barbados - Hastings Beach, Christchurch, South Coast
Hastings, Christchurch Parish, South Coast, Barbados
This is the beach in Hastings, on the south coast of Barbados in Christchurch Parish. There's a boardwalk running along the beach from Hastings in the west, east to Rockley and Accra Beach, where you'll find Accra Beach Resort. East of Rockley/Accra Beach is Worthing. East of Worthing are St. Lawrence and Graeme Hall Swamp. Graeme Hall used to be a wildlife reserve, but it's been closed for some time now. St. Lawrence Gap is known as a busy nightlife tourist strip. Oistins, the main town on the south coast, is east of St. Lawrence. You'll find Miami Beach aka. Enterprise Beach, at the eastern end of Oistins. This beach is popular with Barbadians on the weekend. Oistins, which started out as a fishing village, is known for its fish fry on Friday nights, which is popular with both tourists and locals. East of Oistins, on the ABC Highway, is Grantley Adams International Airport. East of the airport is rural farmland intermixed with housing developments in St. Philip Parish, and the rough waters of the east coast, facing the open Atlantic Ocean.
Highway 7 is the main road running along the south coast, an area with lots of hotels, restaurants, and shopping centres geared towards tourists. There are nice white sand beaches running all along the coast down to South Point. East of South Point, the water is going to be rougher because you're facing the open Atlantic Ocean instead of the calmer and more sheltered Caribbean Sea.
Founded in 1836, Hastings was one of Barbados' 1st tourist resorts. The town is home to the Mallalieu Motor Collection, a car museum featuring more than 20 vintage cars from the private collection of Bill Mallalieu. It costs $10usd to visit. The ArtSplash Centre in Hastings hosts community events.
Heading north from Hastings, Hwy 7 turns into Bay Street, and you head into the Garrison area. This is where you'll find the Garrison Savannah, a historic military parade grounds turned into a horse-racing track. There are horse stables nearby, as well as lots of old British military buildings around the track. There are old barracks on one side of the Garrison Savannah. On the other side is St. Ann's Fort, which is still used by the Barbados Defence Force today. North of the Savannah is George Washington House, where the 1st US president stayed during his visit to Barbados. The house is now a museum open to the public. The Barbados Museum, which is nearby, is housed in a former British military prison.
Further north, Bay St. heads into the capital, Bridgetown. North of town is the west coast, another major tourist area. The main road goes up to Holetown, the place where English colonists 1st landed in 1627, and Speightstown, the 2nd biggest town on the island.

Barbados' Champers: Seaside Dining on the South Coast
takes you to Champers Wine Bar & Restaurant on Barbados' south coast overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
Champers has been a favorite of both locals and visitors to Barbados for 14 years. The signature dish is Parmesan-encrusted barracuda, locally caught, but the seared Yellow Fin tuna, roasted pepper-crusted pork tenderloin with sweet potato croquette, and other dishes are also delicious. My favorite lunch at Champers is a beautifully fresh salad topped with poached Atlantic salmon.
Open for lunch and dinner except Sunday.
Call ahead for reservations: (246) 434-3463
Located at Skeetes Hill at the south end of Accra Beach, in Christ Church, just off Hwy 7.
