Blue Mountains Walks: Waterfall Circuit South Lawson NSW Australia
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
This walk was just right for me both in length and order of difficulty. I hope you get to enjoy it too.
The walk takes in a series of waterfalls on three different creeks, along a circuit which you can easily cover in less than 2 hours.
The tracks and signage are in good order and the Blue Mountains City Council is to be congratulated for this. The reserve is not part of the Blue Mountains National Park, nor are many of the lesser known scenic gems in the mountains.

The approach is via Honour Avenue on the southern side of Lawson and their are parking areas at both ends of the track. Children will enjoy the pools and sandy areas in summer.

5 June 2016 - South Lawson Waterfalls Flooding
There are some lovely waterfalls just near my house. They are usually fairly calm, tranquil places, however after a weekend of very heavy rainfall, they were rather spectacular indeed!
This clip shows the 4 waterfalls that are part of the South Lawson Waterfall Walk, which is a fabulous bushwalk that can be accessed from Honour Avenue in Lawson NSW.

Dante's Glen is a delightful spot. The main glen has a beautiful waterfall and pool in the cool rain forest and the return walk passes two more waterfalls on a tributary creek. Not only that, the walk is only minutes away from Lawson's Olympic Pool and Wilson Park picnic area.

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
This is a short walk along the cliff top at Mt Victoria to a small waterfall, with views of the Kanimbla Valley all the way.
It's a bit out of the way but well worth doing, especially after rain when there is a good flow of water. Access is from the end of Kenny St.

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
The Empire Pass is in North Lawson Park and provides a walking track link between waterfalls at either end.
It's a quiet, pleasant walk of 2-3 hours and the chance of meeting other walkers is not high.
I enjoyed this walk immensely. Birds, wildflowers and the ever-present sound of tumbling water are the things that linger in the memory.

5 June 2016 - Snow in Lawson, Blue Mountains, Australia
In Lawson the elevation is around 700m above sea level. Although the higher parts of the Blue Mountains usually get several snowfalls each year, it's quite a rare thing here.
This is a short montage of a few videos and photos that I took during this afternoon's snow, which started at around 4:05pm and lasted for just over 10 minutes.

Blue Mountains Walks: Wentworth Falls Jamison Creek Fletcher Street NSW Australia
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
This is a round walk which takes in views of Wentworth Falls and part of the Charles Darwin walk alongside Jamison Creek.
I left my car beside Murray Park and walked along Falls Road (the main access to the Blue Mountains National Park) before descending to near the top of the main waterfall.
I then followed the walk alongside Jamison Creek until reaching a track to the left which took me up to Fletcher St and back to my car.

The whole walk takes 1-2 hours and is highly recommended as a shorter alternative to doing the entire Charles Darwin Walk.
