Dasher & Fisher Gin: Southern Wild Distillery | Discover Tasmania
The taste of Southern Wild gin is drawn from wild rivers and perfected with botanicals handpicked in Paradise. Surrounded by clean air, the purest water runs from the snow melt from Cradle Mountain via rivers like Dasher and Fisher, through the rich soils of the undulating hills, crossing the narrow coastal plain and into Bass Strait. The landscape inspires passionate growers who create ingredients that burst with pure flavour. It is, quite simply, the world’s best produce.

Spirit of Tasmania - Flavours of Tassie Showcase Lark Distillery
Tasmania is starting to produce some fine Whiskies. Mark Nicholson, Tour Manager at Lark Distillery, talks through the Whisky production process in Tasmania, explains the history of Lark Distillery and how Lark Distillery produces a truly Tasmanian Whisky.
The Lark Distillery is one of Australia's leading distilleries, producing high quality, premium spirits using traditional time honoured methods. The Distillery runs a 1800 litre copper pot still, along with a 500 litre spirit still, and produces ten to twelve 100 litre barrels per month.
Mark outlines how the Flavours of Tassie showcase gives local producers the opportunity to interact with passengers on board the Spirit of Tasmania, helping to educate passengers on the things to do and see in Tasmania, and also teach them about some of the great products and activities that can be consumed and experienced there.
