Barbados by Locals™ - Dining at the Cliff
ISM created the Barbados By Locals™ series to provide you a quick look at Barbados through the eyes of those who know it best. We interview Brian Ward, Bajan owner of The Cliff, over a few cane juice mojitos at one of the world's best restaurants. Here, chef Paul Owens creates culinary magic that draws crowds from around the globe.
ISM specializes in travel and lifestyle marketing for clients like Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Emirates airline, American Express Travel, and Best Western Hotels. We created the idea The Authentic Caribbean as a way to define and promote Barbados, our former client. Last fall, on a visit, we created and shot this series for them on our own nickel with famous Bajan photographer and videographer Ronnie Carrington. We didn't want these great stories to go to waste. So here they are. If you haven't been, you owe yourself a visit to Barbados. It really is The Authentic Caribbean.

Call Us At 636-486-6761
There are lots of situations where we can help, including…Stop Foreclosure, Divorce, relocating, inherited an unwanted property, own a vacant house, upside down in your mortgage, behind on payments, owe liens, downsized and can’t sell your house, needs repairs you can’t pay for, fire damaged, bad rental tenants, and more.
Basically, if you have a property and need to sell it… we’d like to make you a fair cash offer and close on it when you’re ready. Do You Need To Sell Your House? We Buy Houses St. Charles. You’ve tried to sell your house but are running into roadblocks. You probably even tried calling a real estate agent. Sometimes selling a house the traditional way with a real estate agent is simply not the best for everyone. As you know, there can be lots of pitfalls when selling a house the agent route, including: having to clean up and repair the property so it shows well, finding an agent who you trust and who can deliver on their promise, selling your house quickly, signing a contract that binds you to an agent for a certain term, the piles of paperwork you have to sign, shuffling paperwork back and forth from buyer, to agent, to you… and back.
The biggest issue with trying to sell with a real estate agent or selling it yourself is often times retail buyers will tie up a home for weeks and pull out on the deal at the last second… or have their bank loan fall through. It can all add stress, months to the process, and in the end after paying the agent fees, you may or may not be ahead of the game. Buy my St. Charles House, sell my St. Charles house, sell my house fast St. Charles
We at Express House Offers work differently. We will provide you a fair all-cash offer on your house within 24 hours of submitting the short property info form below and can close when you want to close. If the house is in terrible shape and you don’t want to or can’t fix it up… NO problem, we’ll deal with it for you. If you need to get something done quickly, we can close in as little as 7 days because we buy houses with cash and don’t have to rely on traditional bank financing. In short…No matter the condition of your house – your situation – or timeframe… Our goal is to help make your life easier and to get out from under that property that’s stressing you out… while still paying a fast, fair, and honest price for your house.
We help property owners just like you, in all kinds of situations. From divorce, foreclosure, death of a family member, burdensome rental property, and all kinds of other situations. We buy houses St. Charles and surrounding areas in Missouri. Sometimes, those who own property simply have lives that are too busy to take the time to do all of things that typically need to be done to prepare a house to sell on the market… if that describes you, just let us know about the property you’d like to be rid of and sell your house fast for cash.
If you prefer to talk to someone in our office before submitting your property information just give us a call today at 636 486-6761. We buy houses St. Charles County and surrounding areas in Missouri! If you need to sell your house fast in St. Charles, connect with us… we’d love to make you a fair no-obligation no-hassle offer. Take it or leave it. You’ve got nothing to lose. Buy my St. Charles House, sell my St. Charles house, sell my house fast St. Charles
Avoiding Foreclosure
The Obama Administration has implemented a number of programs to assist homeowners who are at risk of foreclosure and otherwise struggling with their monthly mortgage payments. The majority of these programs are administered through the U.S. Treasury Department and HUD. This page provides a summary of these various programs. Please continue reading in order to determine which program can best assist you.
The Making Home Affordable © MHA Program is a critical part of the Obama Administration's broad strategy to help homeowners avoid foreclosure, stabilize the country's housing market, and improve the nation's economy.
Homeowners can lower their monthly mortgage payments and get into more stable loans at today's low rates. And for those homeowners for whom homeownership is no longer affordable or desirable, the program can provide a way out which avoids foreclosure. Additionally, in an effort to be responsive to the needs of today's homeowners, there are also options for unemployed homeowners and homeowners who owe more than their homes are worth. Please read the following program summaries to determine which program options may be best suited for your particular circumstances.
Auburn Coach Wife Kristi Malzahn Agrees with Match & eHarmony: Men are Jerks
My advice is this: Settle! That's right. Don't worry about passion or intense connection. Don't nix a guy based on his annoying habit of yelling Bravo! in movie theaters. Overlook his halitosis or abysmal sense of aesthetics. Because if you want to have the infrastructure in place to have a family, settling is the way to go. Based on my observations, in fact, settling will probably make you happier in the long run, since many of those who marry with great expectations become more disillusioned with each passing year. (It's hard to maintain that level of zing when the conversation morphs into discussions about who's changing the diapers or balancing the checkbook.)
Obviously, I wasn't always an advocate of settling. In fact, it took not settling to make me realize that settling is the better option, and even though settling is a rampant phenomenon, talking about it in a positive light makes people profoundly uncomfortable. Whenever I make the case for settling, people look at me with creased brows of disapproval or frowns of disappointment, the way a child might look at an older sibling who just informed her that Jerry's Kids aren't going to walk, even if you send them money. It's not only politically incorrect to get behind settling, it's downright un-American. Our culture tells us to keep our eyes on the prize (while our mothers, who know better, tell us not to be so picky), and the theme of holding out for true love (whatever that is—look at the divorce rate) permeates our collective mentality.
Even situation comedies, starting in the 1970s with The Mary Tyler Moore Show and going all the way to Friends, feature endearing single women in the dating trenches, and there's supposed to be something romantic and even heroic about their search for true love. Of course, the crucial difference is that, whereas the earlier series begins after Mary has been jilted by her fiancé, the more modern-day Friends opens as Rachel Green leaves her nice-guy orthodontist fiancé at the altar simply because she isn't feeling it. But either way, in episode after episode, as both women continue to be unlucky in love, settling starts to look pretty darn appealing. Mary is supposed to be contentedly independent and fulfilled by her newsroom family, but in fact her life seems lonely. Are we to assume that at the end of the series, Mary, by then in her late 30s, found her soul mate after the lights in the newsroom went out and her work family was disbanded? If her experience was anything like mine or that of my single friends, it's unlikely.
And while Rachel and her supposed soul mate, Ross, finally get together (for the umpteenth time) in the finale of Friends, do we feel confident that she'll be happier with Ross than she would have been had she settled down with Barry, the orthodontist, 10 years earlier? She and Ross have passion but have never had long-term stability, and the fireworks she experiences with him but not with Barry might actually turn out to be a liability, given how many times their relationship has already gone up in flames. It's equally questionable whether Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, who cheated on her kindhearted and generous boyfriend, Aidan, only to end up with the more exciting but self-absorbed Mr. Big, will be better off in the framework of marriage and family. (Some time after the breakup, when Carrie ran into Aidan on the street, he was carrying his infant in a Baby Björn. Can anyone imagine Mr. Big walking around with a Björn?)
