Hello and welcome back to my channel ????
You may or may not know that Martyn and I share the same birthday! So instead of buying gifts etc we always treat each other to a little break away somewhere. This year Martyns parents took Georgia on holiday to a caravan in Nairn which allowed us to book a few nights away. After much deliberation and hunting for the perfect break, we stumbled upon Kinnaird Lodges and in particular, The Couples Retreat Cabin in Kinnaird, just walking distance from Pitlochry.
I wanted to switch off and enjoy our break together and reconnect as a couple again so I decided to film a little tour and highlight just how beautiful this retreat truly is.
The cabin is self catering but had more supplies than I thought; robes and slippers were supplied along with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. The kitchen had some cooking oils, teas, coffee, sugar, tin foil etc however there is a Co-Op just a short 5 minutes walk down the hill towards Pitlochry.
We enjoyed a meal and some wine in The Old Mill Inn on our first night then made our own dinner in the lodge the second evening to spend as much time here as possible. We also ordered a late check out again for this reason.
The lodge also had an ice bucket for my champagne and tumblers for drinks in the hot tub. The tub has a canopy overhead with gorgeous festoon lighting. The second night we were there, the heavens were pouring down; sitting in the 40 degrees hot tub with the fire on and listening to the rain bounce of the canopy was so relaxing.
Jamie was very helpful, friendly and on hand if we needed him. He met us when we arrived to show us the ropes, bring some fire wood for the burner and advised on local bars and restaurants.
All in, I'd say I am absolute dying to come back to the lodge! It was just what the doctor ordered and does exactly what it says on the tin - Your own private Spa Playground - all to yourselves!
