Ep 2 - Sailing a two days sea trial and sail before buying
Episode 2 - season 1 Sailing with Thomas around the world
This episode is the second in the new series (The beginning) from sailing around the world in a Owners version Bavaria 55 Cruiser bought in Trogir Croatia. This is a one owner boat and with great help from a very helpful broker this went super smooth.
This episode is about an overnight sea trial of the Bavaria 55 Cruiser before purchase. Normal prosedyre is to place an offer, then inspect the yacht and later have a survey and a sea trial. I`m not payed or having any benefits what so ever regarding the broker or Boatshed. I am only sharing my opinion. Buying a boat abroad is a risky business, and It is important to find the broker you can trust. In my case I met a broker from the Boatshed network and he took me out for a beer and I even met his family and friends while staying in Split. He was very honest and I felt I could trust him. But how it would go after I had payed the deposit? Well, he continued to follow up and kept his promises. I think we together made a speed record in buying, deleting from ship register, get all the doc`s and having all the information and help needed towards a new registration in a new ship register. Also the previous owner turned out to be a gentleman and kept his word and helped out. So all together this has been nothing else than a very pleasant and good experience. There is a lot that can go wrong when buying a boat abroad but this went well.
Normally a sea trial is only a few hours but this lasted more than 24 hours. The thing is the boat needed to go out of the country for 24 hours due to the fact is was owned by a non croatian or EC citizen and to have 18 new months in the country the boat need a stamp in the documents and been outside EC and back.
A special thanks goes to Andrey and Dennis who joined me and took time of from their families.

Ep 4 - We where ROBBED while waitng for cruising permit
Check out how I got my iphone back after it was stolen in Trogir while doing some sightseeing waiting for our cruising permit. In Croatia you need a Cruising permit wich costs 900 Kuna apx €90 to sail in their waters. We needed all the documents, deletion certificates from old ship register and new name sertificate for the boat before sailing safe in Croatian waters. Offcorse you also need insuranse to get this permit. While waiting for all this we had plenty of time to explore Trogir to se what this place had to offer. Here is also a taste of what you can expect to see in this UNESCO town Trogir.

Хорватия. Орёл и Решка. Ивлеева VS Бедняков (eng, rus sub)
Орёл и Решка. Ивлеева VS Бедняков (Heads and Tails.

Visit Croatia: Krka Waterfalls!
Full Vlog here:
Looking to visit Croatia this summer? Then I highly recommend seeing the Skradinski buk aka Krka waterfalls at the Krka National Park.
When most people visit Croatia, they fly into the populated cities of Split or Zadar. You can reach Krka National Park from Split or from Zadar in only one hour by car. However, I recommend staying in the city of Šibenik, which is only 15mins away and is located right between the other two populated cities.
Krka waterfalls is a natural site of treasure, the park is known for its series of 7 different waterfalls (although there are more). Skradinski buk is the longest, most popular, and final waterfall of the seven.
Although there are 5 different entrances at Krka waterfalls, Lozovac is the most common way to enter in the south. Once you get there (free parking), you'll take a boat straight to Skradinski buk. This is my favorite waterfall in Krka Croatia, but it's also the most populated in the high season. Luckily, you can swim in the lakes of Krka National Park, unlike Plitvice, its sister park in the north.
After swimming in the Krka waterfalls, I suggest taking a walk on the Skradinski buk trail where you can find small shops, restaurants, and more waterfalls in the area.
The best time to visit Krka waterfalls is from June - November, where you have the best opportunity for warm weather and swimming in the sun!

Beneteau 62 Bogey 1 (Video with regata tracking)
Bogey 1 is a luxury sport sailing yacht that actively participates in regattas. How fast Bogey is best evidenced by the results of the races. On the most challenging Adriatic navigation regatta Jabuka, only specialized racing boats that have no possibility of accommodating guests were faster than Bogey 1.

Bogey 1 Luxury Performance Sailing Yacht
Sailing is fun, but sailing is also a sport and it is a special feeling when you are sailing on a yacht that is more powerful than other yachts in your local waters.
Bogey 1 is also a special boat in that the deck was built in such a way that the space with the sailing equipment is completely separated from the space with the table, i.e. around the deck lounge there are no rope nor winches, so it is possible for someone to just enjoy sailing without participation in maneuvers without bother anyone or being bothered in enjoyment.
We often use the big sails for sailing downwind, gennaker and spinnaker, which others rarely do. We also organize night sailing. Night sailing has a special dimension. This is something quite different from daily sailing. I have not heard of others offering such a service. If weather conditions are right we might go for a light night sailing with a gennaker, while guests are enjoying dinner on the deck.
A Package with such an offer is not made for money, in fact there is no such offer anywhere, it can only be done by people who love what they do.
It is often a result of positive energy that is created on a yacht, friendship and inspiration and openness to other adventures that await us in life.
Yacht Bogey 1 is a sport, luxury and artistic heritage at the same time. The Architect of the yacht is the world's greatest miracle worker of great sporting sailing boats, New Zealander Bruce Farr, whose yachts have won the most trophies in the race around the world, the Volvo Ocean Race, while the design is a masterpiece study by Pinninfarina. Interior of the yacht has two colors of two kinds of wood, mahogany and Finnish birch which gives the yacht a warm and bright atmosphere.
All this is further supplemented with bedding, carpets, utensils and paintings which together form a conceptual art installation.
Cruising on a luxury yacht Bogey 1, besides being a combination of sports, entertainment and art, is guided by imagination and a love of sailing, and is a serious project that needs to meet all its obligations towards guests and other partners on time.
Bogey 1 has two crew members who together without problems solve all the challenges encountered during the voyage.
Tihana is a bright, beautiful, interesting woman, whose skills and knowledge form the practical dimension of the project, and without whose contribution the project would hardly by sustainable.
Mislav is a lover of sailing and the arts, and he is great around the kitchen.

Drone Trip Day 12: Croatia
Re-upload of my Drone Trip in the Summer of 2017 before I had a Youtube channel.
Published June 16th, 2017

Original Post:
Finally to back to the Mediterranean! From Scandinavia to the Baltics, I'm back to where I belong: the beach!
Most of this trip has evolved around visiting friends I've made in the VR industry, even in such a small country like Croatia. Armando Matijević welcomed me to this home with open arms and drove me to the most breathtaking locations.
For a few too many reasons, Croatia felt unnervingly familiar to where I grew up in Beirut. From rocky mountains on the coastline to a warm sea, the incredible historic relics, to the similar looking and the warm, passionate, and temperamental personalities of the people, I felt right at home. It really felt like a Blonde Lebanon.
As for the drone, I actually had my first crash with the Mavic! Being too immersed in the gorgeous scenery, I slowly flew up and hit a tree branch. Surprisingly, the Mavic fell sideways a few feet and recovered, with virtually no damage. Incredible engineering from DJI.
I had to get crafty for a few of the shots in the Roman palace. There were too many birds and humans to fly, so I help the drone and hand walked it through 1700 year old corridors. Truly spectacular what this thing can do.
Off to Berlin and Armenia next!

Bizarre Foods: Scuba Diving for Fresh Seafood in Croatia
Andrew Zimmern travels to Croatia, an Eastern European country straight out of a storybook, where people are living and eating like their ancestors of a thousand years ago. With local chef Tatiana Ciciliani leading the way, Zimmern goes in search of ingredients for sea rock soup and samples stew made of monkfish intestines. An up-and-coming tourist hotspot, Croatia still features ancient tastes from roasted dormice and giant offal kebabs to baked rooster and grilled frog.
