Beer Tram of Helsinki, Finland
Spårakoff is a HM V type tram converted into a bar in Helsinki, Finland. Known as the pub tram, the bright red vehicle does circular tours of Helsinki picking up passengers for an additional fee during summer months.
Claimed to be the only one of its kind in the world, the pub tram is immediately distinguishable in the Helsinki traffic by its vivid red colour and PUB destination board. Normal trams operated on the Helsinki tram network by Helsinki City Transport are green and cream. A tour (pub crawl) takes approximately 40 minutes, travelling around the streets of Helsinki while its passengers enjoy their drinks.
The Tram Pub and Amusement Park in Helsinki
The SpåraKOFF pub tram is one of a kind - a historic tram that has been converted into a pub, operating along the main tram routes in Helsinki past the city’s most famous sights. Routes can also be customised according to special themes. The interior of the tram is decorated in classic pub style with mahogany and brass, with seating for 30 customers to enjoy the fun atmosphere. The crew includes a driver and bar staff, who serve beer, cider, sparkling wine and soft drinks throughout the journey.
In addition to this the Linnanmäki city amusement park is located just north of the city centre of Helsinki located on a hill with nice views of the city.

Rautatientori (Helsinki)
Rautatientori (Swedish: Järnvägstorget) is an open square in central Helsinki, immediately to the east of the Helsinki Central railway station. The square mostly serves as Helsinki's secondary bus station (the primary one being at the Kamppi Center). The square faces the eastern side of the railway station, with two ornate entrances: a bigger one for public use, and a smaller one exclusively for the President of Finland and his/her official guests. At one side of the square is the entrance to the Rautatieasema (Central Railway Station) and the Rautatientori metro station and near to the opposite corner is the entrance to the Kaisaniemi metro station. During summer afternoons and evenings, the pub tram Spårakoff departs from the Mikonkatu tram stop in the square once per hour.

FINLAND: HELSINKI SUMMIT PREVIEW
English/Nat
Freezing temperatures, souvenir T-shirts and a tram serving beer will greet Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin when they arrive in Helsinki Thursday for what's being billed as the most important summit since Yalta.
With the mercury registering minus seven degrees centigrade and snow flurries blowing across the city's airport, the final preparations were underway for the arrival of Air Force One carrying the U-S President.
Clinton will touchdown three hours ahead of Boris Yeltsin -- the Cold War may be over, but whether the thaw in East-West relations yields a summit without a political storm remains to be seen.
Weather-wise the outlook is more certain.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
Well the only thing we're really worried about is the snow, if the snow is coming a lot, that means traffic troubles. But at this moment it doesn't look like that, otherwise it's very sunny and beautiful, most people enjoy it - so I think that is the effect of the summit.

One way to keep out of the cold is aboard this tram.
Sponsored by a local brewery, it's proving a popular haunt for some of the thousands of visiting journalists.
Alternatively journalists and diplomats waiting for the world leaders to arrive can take advantage of the range of souvenirs on sale in Helsinki shops.
The one-day delay has meant most T-shirts have the wrong date for the summit, though the manufacturers insist this will make them collectors' items some day.
Clinton may even have bought one of these trolls on his one and only previous visit to Helsinki -- that was in 1969 where he is believed to have stayed at this local YMCA hostel.
Which room the bearded, long-haired Clinton slept in is not recorded -- nor whether he occupied a smoking room.
He is known to have had little money in those days -- so following YMCA rules like paying for food before eating in the canteen may have been as much of a problem as the thorny issues which occupy his mind in Helsinki 28 years later.

TALLINN//FINLAND TRIP GOPRO 4K
We went to Tallinn for a few days, and we have to say it’s pretty hard to find some place more charming than this medieval town. We loved all the old buildings, castles and the town’s theme. Although we loved Tallinn we also wanted to take the cruise that went from Tallinn to Finland just to spend the day there. We were super lucky with the weather so we spend all day walking around the city. We also took the pub tram just to relax for a bit and see the city in another way, and of course to grab a beer.
Here are the places we went to:
Tallinn -
Old town.
Kadriorg palace.
Toompea hill.
Botanic garden.
Kadriorg park.
Alexander Nevskij cathedral
Helsinki -
Skywheel helsinki.
Uspenski cathedral.
Helsinki cathedral.
Sibelius monument.
Sparakoff pub tram.

Eläimet kylässä -kulkue Taiteiden yönä 26.8., Helsinki
Oheinen mielikuvituseläin kiersi työpajoissa, jossa valmistettiin eläinhahmoja kulkuetta varten. Kulkue eteni Lasipalatsilta Mannerheimintien ja Esplanadin kautta Senaatintorille. oheinen klipsi kuvattu aiemmin iltapäivällä Fennian kohdalla Mikonkadulla. Klipsissä hieman heikosti kuuluva ääni kuuluu kulkueautosta!
Klipsin alussa muuten näkyy oikeassa reunassa Sinebrychoffin (Koffin) punainen Pub-ratikka.

Helsinki and a vintage tram. The motor car from 1909 and the open trailer is from 1919.
Helsinki ja vanha ratikka. Moottorivaunu on vuodelta 1909 ja avoperävaunu vuodelta 1919. Avoin perävaunu oli normaalissa linjakäytössä viimeisen kerran kesällä olympiavuonna 1952. Nykyisiin ratikoihin verraten matkanteko tällä museoratikalla on suorastaan maanläheinen kokemus. Mielestäni on hieno asia, että Helsinki tuo elävää historiaa katukuvaan ainakin kesäksi. Jotain tällaista lisää. Astu vaunuun ja ihaile kesäistä Helsinkiä.
