Koh Yao Noi, has to be one of my favorite islands in Thailand. We found an incredible eco gem hidden on a jungly and undiscovered island. Be in the shadows of Phuket, Phi Phi's, Krabi, and more - Koh Yao Noi and Jaiyen Eco Resort is a must visit for nature lovers! And piggybacking off the video, I don't speak Thai ????

Paradise in Koh Yao Noi Thailand

It was paradise at Paradise resort. We stayed for just two days on this beautiful spot on Koh Yao Noi, an island east of Phuket. The resort is on the north east side of the island, accessible form the main Manoh pier over land, or directly the pier at Paradise. We did simple and few things but the beauty and ambience just filled the space and time disappeared. In this video you'll see the views, the chilled, beach vibe between the trees, the amazing hornbills, and 'The Swing.'

Jaran’s Yoga Koh Phangan features a stunning upper floor open-air yoga shala overlooking the surrounding mountains brings an oasis of peace.

“Jaran” is a traditional Thai word derived from the word จร /Jon/ meaning to travel or to wander, or in-depth meaning: path. Jaran’s offers a wide range of healing modalities that encourage you on your own unique path. At Jaran’s, we believe that health and pleasure create a great path in life.

We honor “Jaran” from “Jaran Thongnual”, an extraordinary man and owner of this land. He told us that this area 200 years back at his great-grandparents’ time used to be called “Mueng San” (San Mine), and 70 years ago it was called “Thung Lark Phra”, connotations are not recognized. He said this area is favored among local Koh Phangan people to visit and look for varieties of edible and rare mushrooms when rainy season come. Right now, Jaran Thongnual lives healthfully at Chalok Ban Kao, Koh Tao, Suratthani that he and his family have settled for more than 60 years. Jaran, 86 years of age, granted this “Jaran’s” land to his oldest daughter, Penkwan, and in the year 2013, she passed this love forward to her oldest daughter, Khane.

I take you guys through our trip to Koh Yao Yai at one of the most beautiful resorts ever. I give you guys some insight on how to be respectful towards Thai people. I also show my vacation workout using limited equipment. At the end of the video Miranda and I get a little tipsy while we enjoy food at one of the best restaurants on the island.

Die Insel Koh Yao Noi liegt in der Bucht von Phuket im Süden Thailands und ist touristisch kaum erschlossen. Dies liegt möglicherweise daran, dass die Strände auf Koh Yao Noi weniger einladend sind und dort buchstäblich der Hund begraben ist. Wer die Insel besucht, hat aber die Möglichkeit, das ursprüngliche Thailand kennen zu lernen.

Koh Yao Noi lässt sich von Phuket oder Krabi aus leicht mit dem Schnellboot erreichen. Der Transfer dauert ca. 40 min. Unterkünfte für jeden Geldbeutel gibt es genügend.

Die Insel ist recht klein und lässt sich mit dem Fahrrad oder Moped, aber auch zu Fuss, leicht entdecken. Die Einwohner von Koh Yao Noi sind - wie fast überall in Thailand - überaus freundlich, vielleicht weil nur wenige Farangs nach Koh Yao Noi kommen. Die meistens reisen lieber nach Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, Ao Nang oder die anderen, vom Massentourismus komplett eingenommenen Hotspots der Region.

Viel los ist auf der Insel nicht. Auf den üblichen Touri-Schnick-Schnack muss der Besucher verzichten. Zu beachten ist auch, dass die Bevölkerung überwiegend muslimisch ist und ein den örtlichen Sitten entsprechendes Verhalten erwartet wird.

Ko Yoa Noi island
Koh Yao Noi Island, and indeed the many islands nearby, has much of interest for you to explore and discover. If you wish to know more about any of the following legends and facts we, at Koyao Island Resort will do our best to be informative and a guide. Koh Yao Noi has around 6,000 inhabitants and is around 4 x 12 km in size. Koh Yao Noi Island is one of the largest in an archipelago of 44 islands which is famous since it was featured in the James Bond movie The Man With the Golden Gun. Yao Noi’s sister island Yao Yai lies only 15 minutes away by boat and offers a chance to enjoy a pleasant day’s trekking or cycling. According to local legend the strait between the two islands was created when a very angry Naga – Sea Dragon – crashed through on his way to Krabi to see his fiancée being married to someone else. For centuries it has been believed that the two islands were populated by Chao Lay people, also called Sea Gypsies – nomadic groups who travelled from island to island for fish and other seafood.
