Bulgarian monastery - Preobrazhensky monastery Veliko Tarnovo / Preobrazhensky Kloster Bulgarien

Preobrazhensky monastery was built in the 11th century during the reign of Tsar Ivan Alexander. This monastery until the 14th century it housed the royal library as Preobrazhensky monastery is located 7 km. Veliko Tarnovo and fortress Tsarevets- third Bulgarian capital after the liberation of Bulgaria from the Byzantines.
In the 14th century, when the Turks captured the capital Tsarevets they destroyed the monastery.
In the 19th century, with the permission of the Ottoman sultan began to restore the monastery.
There is a very beautiful murals in the Preobrazhensky monastery.
The most famous of them is called The Wheel of Life.
The monastery has retained its authenticity and deserves attention.

Preobrazhensky Kloster wurde im 11. Jahrhundert während der Herrschaft von Zar Ivan Alexander gebaut. Dieses Kloster bis zum 14. Jahrhundert beherbergte die königliche Bibliothek als Preobrazhensky Kloster befindet sich 7 km. Veliko Tarnovo und Festung Tsarevets - dritte bulgarische Hauptstadt nach der Befreiung von Bulgarien von den Byzantinern.
