This is the very last day we spent in Mexico and we went out with a bang. We drove two hours from Cancun to the Tulum mayan ruins. These ruins are the newest of the Mexico mayan ruins and are beautifully located on the coast of the Yucatan peninsula. The great part about these ruins is you can swim on a private beach at the foot of them!

Fit three popular outdoor adventures into a single day on this zipline, ATV, and cenote tour in Extreme Adventure Eco Park. A small-group tour limited to 10 participants or fewer makes for shorter wait times, and round-trip transportation from your Cancun or Riviera Maya area hotel ensures that you won’t have any unexpected adventures.
You'll enjoy three activities: Ziplines, ATV's and cenote, all combined in one awesome tour. Discover the jungle as you ride on a powerful 4x4 ATV, then zip through the trees on 9 ziplines and walk through hanging bridges. Finally, jump into the refreshing water of a 100% natural Mayan cenote (zipline and jumping platform). Located deep into the Mayan jungle at the Ruta de los Cenotes, Extreme Adventure Eco Park will offer you the best experience in a small-group setting of 10 people per group. Your tour also includes professional bilingual guides, transport and high safety standards.

Mexico Travel: Chichen Itza Day Trip from Cancun via Viator
On my trip to Cancun I visited the Mayan city of Chichen Itza via Viator tour deal. (
The tour consisted of them picking you up early from your hotel or hotel you would like to be picked up at. We boarded a bus on a 2.5hr journey to Chichen Itza. Before we arrived we made a stop at an Mayan artisan shop. Around mid day, we arrived at the UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the wonders of the world known as Chichen Itza. We were given about a 1hr tour around the main archeological site, then given an additional hour to explore on our own. After we were taken to a the ik kil cenote, where we ate and dove into. It was a great experience and recommend it.

A full guide & review of Xenotes Enigmatic Water Tours (formerly known as Xenotes Oasis Maya) near Cancun.
About Xenotes Enigmatic Water Tours:
Enigmatic Water Tours, formerly known as Xenotes Oasis Maya, is a tour located near Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. Xenotes is a tour that takes you to 4 different cenotes. A cenote is a fresh water sinkhole created when a cave’s ceiling collapses after thousands of years. In addition to experiencing the natural beauty of these 4 cenotes, you also get to take part in activities like snorkelling, zip lining, rapelling, kayaking, and cliff jumping.
Xenotes is a popular excursion for tourists visiting the Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Riviera Maya, or Tulum areas of Mexico. Xenotes is owned by parent company Experiencias Xcaret, which operates several tours and parks in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.
We had an amazing time at Xenotes. It's a great tour for everyone, including families with kids, couples, or groups of friends. I made this video to show you what to expect, and also give you some tips to help you get the most out of your visit.

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored video. I paid for my own flight & tickets to Xenotes. I use referral links, which allows me to receive a small commission from Xenotes when you buy a ticket. This does NOT cost you anything extra, and it does NOT impact my opinion of the tour. You're also helping me, because it took lots of time to record & edit this video. If you don't want to use my links but found my video helpful, then a like and comment would be appreciated :)

Tour & Reviews of Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya,,Cancun. Mexico 2019
This hotel is just amazing. The architecture of the buildings, the décor of the rooms, the furnishings on the beach are simple, classy, beautiful and tasteful. And comfortable. This made our stay a pleasure. There are a lot of things to point out, so I'll try to make it simple and organised, and rank things in order from where they are closer to perfection to where they might benefit from improvements.
1 - THE POOLS. These are fabulous. There are three, each different and all outstanding. They all have great design, shape (lots of nooks and curves), features (steps, seats), temperature, and are build with a great material, a textured concrete that resembles rough granite and is pleasant to the touch and anti-slip. The first pool is closest to the beach. This has a bar in it, accessible from the water only, and is the busiest and noisiest pool, with music and activities on and off. The second pool is very close to the first and further in from the beach. This one is similar in appearance but a bit quieter. In both of these pools the surface material is light grey which gives the pools' water a light blue/green colour similar to the water in the sea (see later). The third pool is furthest in, much quieter, with a darker surface material which makes it a deeper blue, more similar to a tropical inland lagoon than an open beach. We used all three every day, kind of moving along them during the day as we retreated to our room.
2 - GARDENS. Stunning and with some wild-life (coati, agouti, iguanas etc).
3 - ROOMS. Rooms are great. Spacious, tasteful, well-lighted, comfortable, clean. Nice bathroom, with a large Jacuzzi and a large shower: stone glass and wood everywhere. We had an amazing terrace with couch, table and chairs, and a huge built-in planter.
4 - BEACH. Blue water, great sand, superb furnishings and service. There are algae in parts of the sea-bottom, and this can be a nuisance and make the water in patches darker, but the huge bonus is that this makes the location a great spot for sea-turtles. There are (fenced-off) turtle nests in several spots on the beach, and a few snorkelling explorations will almost certainly lead to encountering one of these amazing animals. We bumped into one at our first attempt and stayed watching her for twenty minutes while she was peacefully grazing on seaweed and swimming periodically upwards to breathe. Worth the whole trip in itself.
4 - SERVICE AND STAFF. Flawless.
5 - FOOD AND DRINKS. Drinks are good quality, with proper ingredients (branded spirits), generally better than in similar resorts of the all-inclusive variety. Now the food. We find that two weeks in a resort will lead to generally getting tired with the food offering: although the level here was generally good, this was in the end the case here too and I was longing for some of my own home-cooked food. My advice to the management would be to take much greater advantage of the great opportunity offered by the fact that the resort is in Mexico (Mexican cuisine is great!). There is a Mexican restaurant but after 3-4 visits you have basically exhausted the menu, and then what? Two poolside restaurants that have great settings, but average food; and other restaurants (Italian, French, Asian) which are rather enclosed and not too true to their inspiring cuisines. I wish everything were simpler, fresher, and less fussy (cut the mayo please). I do not think people should go to all-inclusive resorts for high-end meals, but for flawless ones, which can take repeated visits. A favourite for us became the frequent, but unpredictable, al fresco buffet-style feasts. And breakfast!
All in all we had a great time and would visit again
