There are several islands around Nha Trang Bay, so the boat captain and tour guide might change which islands you visit, depending on the weather or other circumstances. Guests are given option to choose which islands they want to visit, depending if they want to do jet skiing, fishing, scuba diving, relaxing, or other types of activities.
Our English-speaking tour guide picked us up in a mini-bus from our hotel in Nha Trang and brought us to Cau Da Port where we boarded our boat.
We spent over an hour snorkeling at the first island, about 1 hour for a fresh seafood lunch on the 2nd island, and then over an hour relaxing and swimming on the 3rd island.
The total time of this tour was 6 to 7 hours and doesn't leave you feeling like it's a waste of a whole day. I highly recommend it!
There was plenty of time to lounge around on the boat and soak up the sun as we cruised around the islands. The boat is equipped with a Western toilet and cold water shower to rinse off after snorkeling. They provide bottled water, but you should bring your own sunblock, towels, power banks for your cell phone (no outlets on the boat) and snacks to keep you energized. We bought a bunch of pineapple before boarding the boat and shared it with everyone and the crew. ^^

Boat trip from Nha Trang to Mieu Island in Vietnam
Taking boat trip from Nha Trang, Vietnam to visit fishing village on Mieu Island.
All the tourist literature touts Hon Mieu (also called Tri Nguyen Island) as the site of an outdoor aquarium (Tri Nguyen Fish Lake). Tri Nguyen Fish Lake is situated on Bong Nguyen Island, also called Hon Mieu Island, Nha Trang Bay; half an hour from Cau Da Port, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.
In fact, the 'aquarium' is an important fish-breeding farm, where over 40 species of fish, crustacean and other marine creatures are raised in three separate compartments.
The main village on Mieu island is Tri Nguyen. Bai Soai is a gravel beach on the far side of Mieu island from Cau Da.

Start your trip with hotel pickup and transfer to Ho Chi Minh Pier where you board a luxury speedboat made of high-quality teak wood. Zip along the Saigon River to the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels, a ride that takes about one hour along tree-lined waterways. Get great photo ops of life along the river and enjoy unlimited refreshments served on board your speedboat. Morning tours include a light breakfast and afternoon tours have a late-morning snacks. Upon your arrival at the historic Cu Chi Tunnels complex, watch a short introductory film then follow your guide into the winding, underground network for approximately two hours of exploring the war memorial park. Visit underground bunkers that housed kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunition depots and hospitals, part of the 75-mile-long (121-km) tunnel complex built by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War (known as the American War by the Vietnamese). View authentic relics from the war such as camouflaged tunnel entrances and a bullet-riddled tank. After your Cu Chi Tunnels tour, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a riverside restaurant, with a menu that may includes spring rolls, chicken and beef dishes, and soup. If you take the later tour, dinner is provided. After your meal, depart Cu Chi and return by speedboat to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at the central pier, you will be driven back to your hotel.
From Vietnam to Cambodia by Speedboat on the Mekong - Cambodia 4K Travel Channel
The day in Chau Doc in Vietnam started not good at all. We had booked this trip through an internet agency in Germany, in hindsight this turned out to be a serious mistake. Pick up time was 6.45 in the morning, too early to have breakfast at the hotel. Although the agency knew that we are 2 months on the road, they had booked 2 rickshaws instead of a taxi for the transfer to the speedboat to Cambodia. It is only a 15 minute drive, but we had approx 70 kg of luggage.
It became even worse. Halfway the drivers began to ask for a tip. They are so pushy that we have doubts about whether they would bring us to our destination or whether we reach our boat. Our answer is, they would get a tip later when we reach our destination. Upon arrival, I give them a little tip, but less than I would have given them anyway because we felt the begging while driving as quite rude, what we told them.
The boat departs at 7.15. Via the Bassac River, a branch of the Mekong, it goes on to Kenh Xang, a channel that connects the Bassac River with the main branch of the Mekong.
In Bassac River we first pass parts of the floating town, before the appearance of the shore is dominated more and more by vegetation. Modest huts, playing children, fisherman on their boats and cargo boats determine the picture.
Nearly, the border crossing had also become a disaster for us. Everywhere on the Internet you can read that you have to pay $ 30. Beforehand we have asked our guides, whether there are ATMs (ATM) or a bank and if we have sufficient time: Everything is repeatedly affirmed positively. We come to the Vietnamese border guards and are allowed to disembark.
After we have passed the security gates, we came in a big waiting room with terrace. Since we do not know when the boat departs again, our attention is focused on the boat. We cannot discover a bank or an ATM. So we nearly missed a man who is gathering papers (departure, entry form, passports and charges). Later we learned that he is responsible for those who are traveling without a guide.

VIETNAM : 2004 Nha Trang Beach& Boat trip

Nha Trang - Mama Hanh Boat Tour
We did a half day boat tour for 8USD per person. It was super commercial. We had about 4 stops and at each stop we were taken to another island were we could either spend more money for para gliding, jet skiing, etc or just wait for one hour and be bored to death. Only fun part for me was that Hyeshin had to get up and sing with the tour guide.

* Pick up at your hotel and reach Saigon river pier, simple breakfast before cruising on green bank and quiet water way to the tunnels.
* The boat goes around Thanh Da Islet and crossing Binh Quoi Village area. Sightseeing and take photos on the way. Then the boat goes upstream of Saigon River.
* The Cu Chi region was pivotal in the defeat of the US during the Vietnamese war. Almost completely devastated by continual bombing and napalming overland, many Viet Cong still survived by digging and hiding in underground tunnel networks, initially built in the vietnam war.
