Mounda beach in Kefalonia si a lovely sandy beach that is clean and gentle sloping. The beach has golden sand, no pebbles shallow clear water, far quieter and peaceful.
There are sunbeds and umbrellas available, hire charges are payable at the mini market. many people prefer to walk around little way down the beach then spread out and towels and enjoy the sunshine and the peace and tranquility.
Parking is permitted along the road leading to the beach.
Visitors can use the facilities at Marina Bay hotel, pool,sunbeds and WiFi .
This is a conservation area for the endangered Caretta CarettaTurtles with nesting areas protected along the beach.

Filoxenia
Riace per Mimmo Lucano: i greki ed i griki ci sono, insieme ed uniti nel nome della Filoxenia (che è anche il titolo del nostro video, realizzato da Selene Gatto e Giuseppe Caracciolo per To ddomadi greko - La settimana greka)!
Etimologicamente “filoxenia” deriva da filos (amico) + xenia e rinforza il significato originario del secondo temine, che già indica l’ospitalità, l’accoglienza verso chi è ”xenos”, straniero. Xenìa, però, è stato utilizzato con accezione negativa nell’operazione contro il sindaco di Riace Mimmo Lucano, per questo abbiamo voluto rileggere questa parola partendo dal suo significato più forte, pienamente espresso in “filo-xenìa”.
In greco di Calabria e in greco-salentino “zzenìa, scenìa” indica la terra straniera:
