Paragliding - Prariond to Macot la Plagne, France
A flight from my Local. It's a 15 - 20 min walk from La Bise (White roof on left 0:50 - 0:55) to the takeoff at Prariond (45.53876N,06.67396E El 1300m). From there most go towards one of the two thermal triggers nearby. For this flight I followed the pros to the hill with a small quarry N of site but lean pickings with only a few metres of height gain more than offset by the sink beside it. Otherwise head NW towards hamlet of Mont Gilbert. The landing is at Macot la Plagne (El ~750m). Note the locals do not recommend Prariond in afternoons after approx 13:00 as it's also a trigger site and can be unstable while trying to get in air.
La Plagne ski guide: Bellecote glacier, Jan 2019
The best area for advanced skiing in La Plagne is the Bellecote glacier. Whilst there are not many runs up there, the ones that are, are well worth the trek and if there is fresh snow then there is plenty more to enjoy in between the pistes.
The first place to go if conditions allow is the Glacier de la Chiaupe or the Bellecote glacier as it is more commonly known. There are a couple of great blacks up there Le Rochu and the Bellecote that are definitely worth trying in any snow conditions. The mogul field at the top of the Traversee chair lift can be seen from miles away as the moguls are that big, the field itself is also about 200m long – a real leg burner and challenge for the advanced skier.
The ski resort La Plagne (Paradiski) is located in the Tarentaise (France, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, Savoie Mont Blanc, Savoie, Albertville). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 225 km of slopes available. 90 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1207 and 3167 m.
La Plagne is a skier's paradise where skiers can live out their ski dreams. This ski resort, with its 225 km of slopes in a surprising and diverse ski paradise, offers a multitude of villages, snowparks and glaciers. Seventy percent of the ski resort is situated at over 2000 m above sea level guaranteeing extraordinary snow reliability.

La Plagne guide: from Roche de Mio to Belle Plagne via La Sources, in afternoon, Jan 2019
La Sources is one of the best, if not THE best piste in La Plagne ski resort. It is about 4km run that starts at the top of the Roche de Mio and leads down into Belle Plagne. There is only one steep section is the piste which makes the classification of a red run but the majority of it is like a blue run. It’s a long, fun run with varied gradients that all levels of skiers will enjoy. Advanced skiers will enjoy flying down the run while intermediate skiers will enjoy the mixed terrain.
