My Russian Izhmash Dragunov Tigr with full SVD length 620mm barrel as obtainable from the factory and available here in New Zealand.

My Tigr has a twist rate of 1:320mm or 1:12.6 the same as the SVD originally had before the SVD's was tightened to 1:240mm or 1:9.4 to better stabilise heavy ammunition such as armour piercing bullets. The tighter twist comes at a cost to accuracy with lightweight ammunition. Therefore, as I have the lesser twist rate, ideally I should be shooting lightweight ammo to get the most out of this Tigr. Thanks to 'ok131583' for the info. Measuring my twist rate came in line with 1:320mm.
Best group I've achieved so far @100m - .58MOA (17mm center to center with 180gr Highland AX)

The Siberian city of Barnaul was founded in 1730 as a settlement for the workers at the nearby silver factory of Akinfy Demidov. and is located at the confluence of the Ob and Barnaulka Rivers on the West Siberian Plain....
Granted city status in 1771, the city grew, despite the remoteness of the location. The abolition of serfdom and the depletion of natural resources led to the closure in 1893 of the silver factory. The city turned its attention to other means and became a major mercantile centre for such industries as tanning, candle, brick, soda, fur, sawmill etc...
A great fire consumed over half the town on the 5 May 1917 and many of the city's wooden buildings were destroyed. During the interwar years, Barnaul continued to expand with many industries and collective farms being established. During the Great patriotic War, many industries were moved to the city from Moscow, Leningrad, Odessa and Kharkov. The post war years were marked by an industrial boom and the city expanded greatly with large housing projects constructed in the the northern reaches of the city........
