Top fun places to visit in Kenya
Thinking about visiting Kenya? I will help you discover this fantastic travel gem filled with abundant natural beauty, wildlife, rich culture, beautiful beaches and aquatic life
Nguuni Nature Sanctuary Mombasa
Come to Nguuni Nature Sanctuary in Mombasa, Kenya! It´s a secret tip for all those who love natural silence, peaceful environment and animals that are completely stressless. On a guided tour, you can see birds, if you´re lucky. There´s also a beautiful place where you can have your own barbecue in the evening if you like to. It´s absolutely worth it coming there, I highly recommend this.

Travel Guide to Kenya
In this film Wild Frontiers, Jonny Bealby, explains about tourism in Kenya. Here is the text...
Jonny here, right now I am at Borana Ranch, high on the Laikipia Plateau, in the lee of Mount Kenya. And in this short film I am going to talk about tourism in Kenya.
If I asked what's the first thing you think about when turning your mind to travel in this colourful East African country, you'd almost certainly say wildlife. And of course you'd be right as over 80 percent of holidays here will have a wildlife element.
From the Marsabit National Park in the north, to the Masai Mara and Amboseli National Parks in the south, the planes of Kenya are teeming with wildlife or all shapes and sizes offering, along with its neighbour Tanzania, the best place in the world to view game. And if you throw in Mount Kenya and the Aberdares, the Laikipia Plateau and the Matthews Range, the Lamu Archipelago and the rest of the Kenyan coast, and some of the most spectacular and evocative accommodation anywhere on earth, then here in Kenya you have a true world class travel experience.
The Masai Mara is probably the most famous national park. Covering more than 500sqm, the Mara is universally renowned for its exceptional populations of lion, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo and giraffe and for the famous migration of wildebeest that takes place every year from July to October.
But the Masai Mara is by no means the only show in town. Further to the east you have Amboseli National Park with its epic views of Kilimanjaro, to the north you have Samburu, Marsabit and Meru National Parks, and here on Laikipia, in the Lewa conservancy, where the savannah is awash with elephants, giraffe, the quirky Grevy zebra and a new and burgeoning population of black rhino.
And as for the accommodation, well that is quite simply out of this world. Yes, to get the best you're going to pay, but in our opinion the experience you'll enjoy and quality of service you'll receive -- plus of course the game you'll see -- does make this value for money. There is simply nothing else like it on earth. Among many amazing places to stay, my personal favourites are Else's Kopje in Meru, Saruni in Samburu, Richard's Camp or Serian in the Mara, and either Sabuk or Borana here on the Laikipia Plateau.
But tourism in Kenya is not only about wild animals. The Kenyan Coast, stretching all the way from Diani Beach in the south the Lamu archipelago in the north, with its white sand beaches and gentle turquoise seas -- particularly when the trade winds are blowing in the right direction from November through to March -- again coupled with some fabulous accommodation, combine to make this a truly world class beach experience.
And if you like to meet the people -- an important factor in most Wild Frontiers adventures -- there are plenty of opportunities, particularly at Sarara, in the Matthews Range, at Il Ngwesi north or Mount Kenya and here at Borana.
To get around there is are great quality land cruisers, a brilliant air service, either in scheduled flights or on private charters, a classic bi-plane, or if you really want to push the boat out and get to places few others can reach, a truly amazing helicopter service, run by our friends at Tropic Air.
A classic African safari is a travel experience like no other, and one that all travellers should do at least once in their lives. And for that, in my opinion, there's nowhere better than Kenya.

Short touristical visit of Mombasa (Kenya)
(EN) Mombasa is the second-largest city in Kenya. Lying next to the Indian Ocean, it has a major port and an international airport. The city also serves as the centre of the coastal tourism industry.
Also known as Mombas in colonial times, its name derives from Manbasa. This was the Arabic name of the former sultanate of Mvita, which had its capital here. In modern times the town is the headquarters of Mombasa District, which, like most other districts in Kenya, is named after its chief town.

Kenya - An African Safari
A visual travelling account of my 2018 Kenya Safari leading me to different spots of Tsavo National Park and including night safari and overnight stay in the world-famous Saltlick Game Lodge in the middle of Taita Hills region. Giraffes and Elephants, Cheetahs and Lions, Buffaloes and Ostrichs, Marabou Storks and Secretarybirds, they all crossed my path in their unspoilt natural environment and which is dominated by Antilopes and Gazelles. Amboseli Tours and Safaris with Natural World Kenya
The giants here are the great herds of elephants. Hundreds of them.
Protected from poachers, they carry their massive tusks with pride as they gather at predictable watering holes, delighting the many who come to Amboseli National Park to view these noble creatures.
Amboseli is known as the best place in Africa for getting up close to free-ranging elephants. The population is so robust here that sightings are guaranteed!
It’s just one of many reasons the park is the second most popular in Kenya – only the Masai Mara draws more visitors.
Amboseli is also a photographer’s paradise. Those wonderful photos you’ve seen of elephants seemingly posing in front of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro? They were taken here.
Kilimanjaro, the largest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world, towers over the park like a stately and photogenic sentinel. And when the clouds burn off at dusk or dawn, you’ll be treated to visions of its snowy peak.

Kenya Adventure Travel
Kenya Adventure Travel: Although one of Africa's more powerful economies, Kenya is still a developing country, and so certain aspects of the country's society and infrastructure may come as a shock to some visitors from developed countries who are unfamiliar with the poverty and poor quality of life experienced by many Kenyans.
Kenya has some of the world's best game reserves where you can see some of the finest African flora and fauna. The parks are famous for lions, giraffes, elephants and huge herds of zebras, wildebeests and buffaloes. It's wise to shop around for tour operators before picking one, to see what's currently on offer, who you vibe with, and to get a competitive price. The annual wildebeest migration (from Maasai Mara to the Serengeti) is an awesome sight and best experienced in a balloon safari. Bookings to watch the migration are best done months in advance due to the high demand and limited lodging available in the Mara. Migration is during August and September.
Kenya also is a great destination for beach holidays, with several located along the coastal regions and the city of Mombasa. Kenya is also becoming a golf holiday destination, with an abundance of beautiful courses around the major urban areas. Green fees range from US$15-40 per round, plus a US$5-7 caddy fee.
Watch a wildlife migration. Go for a game drive in many parks and reserves found in the country. If you are on a tight schedule take a game drive in the Nairobi National Park found less than 20 minutes drive from the Cental Business District. Major attractions, big cats including lions and leopards, buffaloes, a variety of antelope species, baboons, monkeys amongst others.
Many travellers choose to spend some of their trip volunteering with the local community. This can include teaching, community development, childcare, conservation and environmental work, or healthcare/medical projects.
Enjoy your Kenya Adventure Travel!
Travelling Kenya on Tour: Travel Vlog with John
Guess who’s back, back again? That’s right, John has returned — and he’s ready to take you on another epic African adventure with TourRadar and Explorations by Collette. Follow along as he discovers the very best of Kenya — from its stellar wildlife to its natural wonders and its tribal cultures — along with plenty of surprises and lesser-known gems along the way. If you’re planning a trip to Africa, or you’re just really curious to see what a Kenya tour is like, you’ve come to the right place! Keep watching to see exactly what John gets up to — there’s a hefty dose of travel inspiration coming your way!
John’s adventure kicks off in Nairobi, the country’s cosmopolitan capital, and continues on through several of Kenya’s most sought-after national parks, from Aberdare to Nakuru and Amboseli. In these destinations, it’s game drives and wildlife galore — so follow along as John searches for the Big Five and gets a first-hand look at the Great Migration (just another day in Kenya). After that, it’s onto the grand finale: the Masai Mara. This spectacular reserve is what safari dreams are made of: it’s one of the best parks for big cat sightings (did you know it has one of the highest concentrations of lions in the world?), and you’re pretty much guaranteed to see leopard, lion, elephant, and buffalo on any trip!
Of course, John does so much more than game drives — he also watches the sunrise over the plains of the Masai Mara from a hot air balloon, sips on surprise sundowners at dusk, gets a sweet (and very wet) kiss from a giraffe, and immerses himself in Kenyan culture with a visit to a Maasai tribe. Spending time with the Maasai people is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary experiences you can have in Kenya, and judging by his reaction after seeing a Maasai ceremony, John agrees!
Is this video fueling your wanderlust? That’s a surefire sign it’s time to start planning an adventure of your own! Head to TourRadar to check out this itinerary and many more — you’re next escape from reality is waiting.
