Spring Hills Cemetery - Charleston, WV - EVP (2015)
This is one of the biggest cemeteries in WV and it just happens to be in my home town. I've always wanted to visit there and finally got the chance! It is huge!!! We caught a lot of GREAT evidence there! One of which being the sound of someone being hung and choking. Which legit gave me goosebumps! Hopefully coming back there sometime soon! Short Horror Flim will be posted this weekend! :) xx

This ghost hunt was taken at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia while my best friend Ashley was down from Florida.
If there's anything you heard//seen in the footage, feel free to leave me a comment and let me know. I would love to hear your opinion and thoughts! These may not be completely accurate. I'm only going by ear when editing these E.V.P.'s. Also, all the loud people talking sounds came from the ball field in town. It was not an E.V.P. Keep in mind, this footage was flimed during the middle of the day. So there is a lot of background noises taking place.

Charleston WV Triangle District archival footage
The Triangle District was a predominantly African American section of Charleston, West Virginia. From the mid 1960s to the early 1970s, a combination of interstate development, urban renewal, and a private water company demolished the Triangle, displacing hundreds of residents and fraying a formerly tight-knit community.
This video explores the Triangle District's role as a Tenderloin or vice area in Charleston, the conflicting positions of city officials and emerging African American activists, the tight housing market and issues surrounding relocation, and the context of civil rights and black power struggles in American cities.
This video was produced by Nathan Tauger with help from Alex and Erik Abrahams. The archival footage was compiled by Richard Fauss of the West Virginia Culture and History Center.
If you recognize anyone in the video, please comment with the timestamp (@1:30, for instance) and the person's name and a short description of who they were/are.

Forgotten Graveyard - Doak's Hill Cemetery New Cumberland, WV
UPDATE APRIL 2016: I've come across a local newspaper article about this EXACT cemetery. It's from 1957 in The Weirton Daily Times. A librarian from the Swaney Memorial Library in New Cumberland, WV was out hiking one day and stumbled upon it. She refers to the area as Doak's Hill, but my friend who lives up there on Oak Drive has never heard it been called that name. His grandparents talked about Doak's Hill but believed is was located elsewhere in New Cumberland. Dubbed Doak Hill Cemetery, this person described exactly what you see in the video; old, forgotten graves that have been crumbling away over time. I'm going to visit the library soon to see what else I can dig up!
In the hills of West Virginia lies a forgotten graveyard. Unmarked. Maps as far back as the early 1900's do not show any names or titles over this piece of land. Was it public or private? Why was it forgotten?

A day in Charleston, WV
The other day my girlfriend and I went for a quick trip to the downtown Charleston area. It's really great to see all the older homes and other sites around where the State Capital building is. Got a nice surprise on our walk when we ran across the gravesite for Thomas Bullitt who was the first owner of the land that is now know as Charleston, Wv. I hope you enjoy as you join us in our trip around the town. :D
