Exploring Fort Osage Sibley MO - October 2018
YouTube Reel Diel Outdoors: Fort Osage in Sibley Missouri 2018. We are touring the fort during their Annual Fall Muster. This reenacts the events of 1812 as the war continues and showed how they prepared for encountering with British forces if needed. We also talk to the reenactors to learn the history of Fort Osage and Fort Atkinson (Nebraska). We wrap up talking about the Living History Network (for history buffs) which informs people about reenactments from the French and Indian War (1754-1763), The War of 1812, up to modern military.
We also try to use our America the Beauttiful National Parks pass, but find that there is still a county parks fee of $8.

Otis Series 1 Hydraulic Elevator @ 101 W 22nd St, Lombard, IL
Since I wasn't planning on filming any elevators today, I had to film this one using my iPhone 5S. This elevator is just a basic Otis Series 1 with the annoying fan of course. Other than that, there's not much to say about it. Also, keep in mind that this building isn't really public, so if you do plan on filming the elevator here, do it carefully, don't be disruptive, do it during the time the building is open, or ask permission before doing so.

MISSOURI - WikiVidi Documentary
Missouri is a state in the Midwestern United States. With over six million residents, it is the 18th-most populous state of the Union. The largest urban areas are Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield, and Columbia; the capital is Jefferson City, located on the Missouri River. The state is the 21st-most extensive in area. In the South are the Ozarks, a forested highland, providing timber, minerals, and recreation. The Mississippi River forms the eastern border of the state. Humans have inhabited the land now known as Missouri for at least 12,000 years. The Mississippian culture built cities and mounds, before declining in the 1300s. When European explorers arrived in the 1600s they encountered the Osage and Missouria nations. The French established Louisiana, a part of New France, and founded Ste. Genevieve in 1735 and St. Louis in 1764. After a brief period of Spanish rule, the United States acquired the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. Americans from the Upland South, including enslaved Af...

Nike Missile (IFC) Hill 88
High a-top Wolf Ridge in the Marin Headlands, sits what remains of the Integrated Fire Control (IFC) facility SF-88, known as Hill 88. During the Cold War era the US military set up Nike Missiles sites around many parts of the United States. These surface to air missiles where intended to protect against attacks by enemy bombers. Hill 88 was only the IFC as the missile sites were located away from here.
2016 Lake of the Ozarks Crazy Party Cove (best of)
Party Cove is the popular name given for Anderson Hollow Cove, a cove in Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri that according to The New York Times is the “oldest established permanent floating bacchanal in the country.[1]
Various places in the lake have received the name since the 1960s but the informal event has been pushed out by private owners until since 1996 when it moved to Anderson Hollow Cove within the confines of Lake of the Ozarks State Park at the 4 mile marker of the Grand Glaize Arm of the lake a mile south of the Grand Glaize Bridge.
The cove itself is about a mile long and 200 yards wide. On summer weekends as many 3,000 pleasure boats with around 8,000 aboard gather in the cove lining up in two rows with newcomers running a gauntlet of water cannon and taunts to take their clothes off (although the Kansas City Star reports that the overwhelming number of visitors in the fraternity house environment are male).[2] Produced by Shawn Kober a Big Planet Media Production contact us at bigplanetmedia.com 660-864-3423

Lithographs from McKenney & Hall's History of Indian Tribes of North America
The History of the Indian Tribes of North America by John McKenney and Thomas Hall, was/is a Three Volume Set of 120 hand-colored lithographic portraits (with information about the chiefs, warriors, and women within) that were made from the original indigenous paintings that were housed in the Indian Gallery in the Department of War in Washington D. C. These Native American lithographs are among the only portraits remaining of this early generation of Native American chiefs, warriors, statesmen, medicine men, and commoners from the Late 18th and Early 19th centuries. The Three-Volume set sold for a mere $120 back in 1836/37 and 1842 to 1844 when they were, initially, published. Today, the volumes and the individual lithographs are worth thousands of dollars. As you search the web on this book, you'll find the names of different authors, different years of publications, and the names of different artists for the same painting. When one artist was no longer available to paint more of the same lithographs, another artist was contracted. You'll, also, find that the Three-Volume set has been published, again, but in a condensed format, with some sets in black and white and others in color., prices varying, of course. Also, some auction houses and online bookstores have original copies of the Three-Volume set of The History of the Indian Tribes of North America by McKenney & Hall. Some museums, universities, and individuals own First Edition sets and/or original lithographs. My family has 86 of the 120 original First Edition hand-painted lithographs along with the original text that goes with each lithograph. By the way, the tribes represented in these volumes were from many indigenous tribes: Osage, Creek, Sioux, Otto, Pawnee, Sauk & Fox, Seminole, Cherokee, Ioway, Ojibray, Uchee, Musquakee, to name a few. For more info about the book that the images in this video represent, visit wikipedia and its links, for starters: Multiple online bookstores, including Google Play Books, which lets you read the WHOLE book on their site. By the way, the two songs that are played in this video are from youtube's free database. They're titled, Angevin: Thatched Villages, and Future Gladiator, both by Kevin MacLeod, an Irish musician.
