Music lovers flock to Kenting for festivals
The Tomb Sweeping holiday weekend is drawing lots of people to the Kenting area, which is hosting no fewer than nine different music festivals. Fine weather over the holiday weekend is drawing many to Kenting in southern Taiwan. People come to participate in music festivals as well as enjoy a variety of water sports. The big crowds give the impression that summer has already begun.People from northern and central Taiwan make an annual pilgrimage to Kenting to participate in music festivals. There were a music festival named Spring Scream in Kenting, a beautiful seaside recreation area located in southern Taiwan, since 1995. Music lovers used to gather together every April as an annual routine.
The mandarin song tile 好南 literally means (This Kenting place) is at the very south side (of Taiwan). Yet 好南 is also the homonym of 好難, which means (It is) so hard to (re-visit Kenintg with memories of past relationship.) The feelings inside started to go south while going south literally.

The park covers about 181 square kilometres (70 sq mi) of land, 152 square kilometres (59 sq mi) of sea, weighing in at 333 square kilometres (129 sq mi) combined. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Taiwan Strait and the Luzon Strait. The park is 90 kilometres (56 mi) away from Kaohsiung, 140 kilometres (87 mi) away from Tainan.
The landscape boasted by Kenting National Park is divided into two parts by the long and narrow Hengchun Longitudinal Valley Plain that extends from north to south. With coral sea cliffs teemed with fringing reefs along the west coast, the park features a large number of mountains in the north, and coral tablelands and foothills in the south. The plain, which is formed by fault valleys, has a vast lake called Longlyuantan, together with rising coral tablelands and limestone caves to the east. The east side of the coral tablelands features unique sand rivers and sand waterfalls formed by the combined effects of winds and rivers, as well as coral cliffs, sunken caves and stalactites.
