The Hughes family has been fruit farming for six generations (over 100 years). Farmer Johns parents, Leslie and Isobel Jane Hughes, purchased this farm (Springridge Farm) in 1960 when their farm in Mississauga (Dixie & Dundas) was sold for development. They purchased Springridge from the Hartley family. The Hartleys were fruit farmers as well and they had been here since the turn of the century. There are many seniors in Milton with fond memories of picking fruit as a youngster on the old Hartley farm.

After our hike at the Halton/Acton area, we went to Springridge Farm where the Harvest Festival is in full swing. Lots of pumpkins, big and small.

Day 25 of 31 My Favourite Spots In Milton - Springridge Farm

Our family loves Springridge Farm, and we've taken our girls there for many years. There's so much to do from tractor rides to puppet shows to my favorite, feeding the goats.

It's the place to go to pick up fresh strawberries during berry season and they also sell other farm fresh fruit and vegetables at their Barn Store. They also sell some really delicious salad dressings and jams, and we love their apple pie too!

Today I stopped in for lunch and took a walk around the grounds. The view from Lookout Point is definitely worth the walk up to the platform.

There's something to do for all ages. If you haven't been before, definitely go and check them out and if you have, I would love to hear what your favourite thing to do at Springridge Farm is!

Chudleigh's Farm Summer Nights | Check It Out Milton ep 24

Who doesn’t love a good patio?

If you are looking for an amazing heated, covered patio, with live music and an amazing laid back vibe then you're going to love Summer Nights at Chudleigh’s Farm.

After the winter we’ve just had, it’s especially gratifying to be able to come outside in the fresh air and have some delicious food in this outdoor venue.

Chudleigh’s has been making food for a long time now; almost 50 years. From their brick oven pizzas to their make your own apple blossom bar (try the signature apple crumble blossom) and the epic For The Love of Cake dessert you're sure to find something you'll love.

Their close vicinity to the freshness of the apple orchard and nature makes everything at the farm even more serene. It’s the perfect place to celebrate with friends, leave your worries at the door in a fun and comfortable outdoor environment with a dinner garden atmosphere twinkly lights and live music.

If that weren’t already great there’s an awesome petting zoo with cute baby animals too. I absolutely loved it. Not to forget, another favorite part of the Chudleigh’s farm is the playground. If you are bringing in your kids or even if you are just a big kid at the heart you are going to absolutely love this part.

You can just come on out and relax because that’s what it’s all for.

I can’t wait to spend a lot of summer nights at Chudleigh’s with the family.

We are on Day 10 of Our 31 Days of summer! Today we are at Springridge Farms at 7256 Bell School Line, Milton, Ontario. The Fun Farm Yard has great activities for families and is open daily from 9am-pm. We have daily wagon rides, goat mountain, animal barn, hay play for kids, Giant Sandbox, Witch's Mouth Corn Trail, Escarpment Lookout, Spiderweb Climber, 40' Windmill, Antique Tractors, Singing Chicken Show, Farm Yard Tube Slides and a peddle tractor track. There is a whole of fun going on here! To book an event or party, Springridge does birthday parties for kids every weekend, school tours and corporate Christmas parties. Aside from the outdoor activities, there`s a ton to do indoors as we. Visitors of all ages love browsing the 19th century barn! The gift shop is brimming with home and garden accessories, personal items, seasonal decorations as well as unique gifts and wedding presents. Springridge in Milton Ontario is also famous for its bakery and especially for its fruit pies and tarts.
