BEST RV PARK IN MILWAUKEE WI / NIGHT BIKE RIDING TRAILS TO WAUKESHA FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE MUSICFEST EP91
BEST RV PARK LOCATION TO SEE MILWAUKEE WISCONSIN! NEXT TO AN INTERCONNECTED BIKE TRAIL SYSTEM WITH HUNDREDS OF PAVED MILES. Take a quick tour of the Wisconsin State Fair RV Park with us! It is nothing more than a safe, level, clean, reasonably priced, full hookup parking lot. But the beauty of this park is the PERFECT location. You are smack dab in the middle of anything you could possibly want to do. This park borders the Hank Aaron Bike Trail, that leads to the Oak Leaf Trail that then connects to the New Berlin Bike Trail.
Come along with us as we ride our recumbent bicycles 14 miles ONE WAY to the Waukesha Friday Night Live Music Festival in Downtown Waukesha Wisconsin. After dancing, dining and socializing, we will then show you what it is like to ride home in the dark along these same trails at MIDNIGHT.
The rechargeable headlights on our bicycles that we are using on the way home are simply amazing. Without lights of this caliber, you can easily out run your lights ability to shine the way for you safely. We have added these to our bicycle riding section in our Amazon Gear Storefront for those that are interested in seeing what the heck are those lights Sue & Mark were using!

Everything in the OJiM Amazon Store we personally own, use and recommend. No one has given us or provided any of these items. The items that we have purchased, and regret owning or have failed, will never be in any of our Amazon Store. They are in the garbage.
OJiM (Our Journey In Myles) is a channel for fun, sharing and exploring the wonders of Full Time RV Life,…... together with you. Sue & I are not RV or RV Travel experts, and are learning as we go along in our RV Living. We are willing to share our RV Newbie experiences and what works for us as a couple in our Class A Motorhome we have named “Myles. We encourage you to do your own research, and to develop your own special style, whether it be in a Travel Trailer or a 5th Wheel. We will never be an expert on any subject, but will document the RV Tips & Tricks we learn from our experiences along the way for you to judge. We started our journey in miles by learning from many RV Vloggers that we still subscribe to today. We hope that you will consider subscribing to our channel to see what we did in each of the states we have visited already, to help you better plan what to do when you get there on your adventure!

Paradise Springs Nature Area
June 26, 2015 : EAGLE, Wis. - A dam that formed the trout pond at Paradise Springs in the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest failed earlier this week and the pond has drained. Water had undermined the water control structure for the dam and is flowing under it and through the outlet.
Department of Natural Resources dam safety staff inspected the dam structure earlier this week and determined there is no way to refill the pond without significant repairs or replacement of the structure. The dam was built in the early 1900s to drive a turbine to provide electricity for the house and grounds of L.D. Nichols, one of the first electrified homes in the area.
Nichols also began stocking brook trout in the pond and DNR fisheries staff have continued to stock the pond for catch-and-release fishing since the DNR took over the property in the 1980s.
An engineer who inspected the dam determined that repairs would be costly and that the concrete in the structure was so deteriorated that any repairs would be temporary. Complete replacement of the dam could be $300,000 or more.
DNR staff will continue to evaluate the options for the dam, including temporary repair, replacement or abandonment of the dam.
The pure spring waters of Paradise Springs have been enjoyed by local residents since the late 1800s. Early owners called it Minnehaha and Eagle Rock Springs. The area once housed a bottling plant that bottled and sold the water under various names. The bottling plant was removed in the 1960s. There was also a deluxe Paradise Springs Hotel on the site that built in 1948 and removed in the 1970s.
A spring house was built over Paradise Springs in the early 1930s by Louis J. Petit, a multimillionaire who made his fortune in the salt mine business. Petit's grandson, August J. Pabst, of Milwaukee brewing fame, inherited the property from Petit.

Scuppernong Springs - Kettle Moraine
A small spring in the Scuppernong Marsh...
PA flash flood
It down pored for at least a hour and we got at least 4 inches of rain. Our little creek behind our hunting cabin was a river in no time and left a pond in the backyard at least 2 inches deep. Me and my friends and family will not forget this.
Palm Springs Hangover 2011.MP4

Nine Springs, Wisconsin
This is just a beautiful little spot near Madison. This video is not educational and doesn't involve chickens or ultralight camping. I just want to show a pleasant---not at all spectacular---spot near a big city that's been saved for all of us to enjoy by some far-sighted, conservation-minded forebears.

Milwaukee: A City Built on Water | Program |
[Original Airdate: April 22, 2015]
Historian John Gurda explores how the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan spurred Milwaukee's growth. The settlers used rivers and Lake Michigan to transport grain, lumber, leather and beer, but water was just as important for play as it was for work. Gurda explains how the Milwaukee River became a destination for fun. Learn how the lower Milwaukee River was eventually reduced to an open sewer by 1900, with Lake Michigan suffering similar indignities. Only in recent decades have the currents turned for the better. From the Milwaukee River Greenway to the reborn Menomonee Valley to the cultural theme park on our downtown lakefront, the patterns of the past are being reversed, providing cause for celebration as well as concern.
