Gwanghwamun Square is a public area located in the heart of central Seoul that reopened in 2009. This area has features museums, statues, restaurants, and beautiful views of Gyeongbokgung Palace and nearby mountains.
인천 월미도 - Walking around Wolmido Island, Incheon, Korea
Wolmido Island (월미도), also known as Wŏlmi-do, is an island one kilometer off the coast of South Korea near Incheon. It was connected to the mainland by a highway in 1989, and was later due to be connected by a monorail which has yet to open. It is a weekend destination and tourist area, with restaurants, the theme park Play Hill and the areas Meeting Square, Arts Square, Performance Square, and Good Harvest Square. The Korean Traditional Garden at Wolmi Park (월미공원) was established in 2001 after the relocation of the Army base which had been located there for 50 years.
On September 10, 1950, the U.S. Army began five days of bombing Wolmido Island, which contained North Korean Army soldiers. Several hundred civilians were killed in the dropping of 93 napalm bombs. The battle was inspiration for the North Korean Propaganda Film Wolmi Island produced in 1982.
An Army base was established at the site of what became Wolmi Park (월미공원) after the base's relocation. The site was turned into a garden and opened to the public in 2001.

Yeongdeungpo Station (Station 139) is a ground-level railway station in Seoul, South Korea. The station is located in Yeongdeungpo Dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, and is a stop on the Gyeongbu Line, Honam Line and Seoul Subway Line 1. The station is integrated into the Yeongdeungpo Lotte Department Store. Located in the station are Lotteria, Dunkin' Donuts, Krispy Kreme, and KFC.
Times Square is a shopping mall in Seoul, South Korea.[1][2][3] It is one of Seoul's largest shopping malls featuring the CGV Starium, the world's largest permanent 35 mm cinema screen.[4]
Times Square mall contains a department store, a multiplex theater, a shopping mall and many restaurants. Its architectural features include plazas, terraces, water fountains and numerous gardens.

Northeast Asia's first resort complex to open near Incheon Int'l Airport

Northeast Asia's first resort complex is set to open near Korea's Incheon International Airport in just over a week's time.
With a hotel, convention centers and a foreigner-only casino, the new resort could be a game-changer for the local tourism industry.
Park Se-young has the details.
Built at a cost of more than a billion dollars on 330-thousand square meters of land in Incheon, Paradise City is the first integrated resort in Northeast Asia.
The six-star resort, set to open on April 20, comes with more than 700 hotel rooms, convention centers and Korea's biggest foreigner-only casino.
It will also boast shopping plazas and a golf course by next summer.
It takes about five minutes from Incheon International Airport by train. This is going to be a one-stop resort for everything.
In order for it to secure its place as a thriving tourist spot, Paradise City must overcome China's economic retaliations against South Korea's decision to deploy the THAAD missile defense system.
Those measures include Beijing's ban on all group travel to South Korea.
Casino revenues are expected to account for about 70 percent of the resort's sales, and about half of casino visitors come from China.
By relying less on China, we'll take another look at the Japanese market. We also see it as a chance to expand into Southeast Asia.
As China continues to turn the screw over THAAD, the local tourism industry is keeping a close eye on the birth of the first complex resort in South Korea and Northeast Asia.

노량진역 - Walking around Noryangjin Station, Seoul, Korea
Noryangjin Station (노량진역) is a metro station in central Seoul, South Korea. The station is located in the Noryangjin-dong (neighborhood) of Dongjak-gu (ward) and is also a stop on Seoul Subway Line 1 and Seoul Subway Line 9. This stop is a popular destination for those seeking to eat raw fish, and other assorted seafood, as a large, covered sea food market is located next to the station, accessible by foot bridge. The Line 1 station is also notable in that Exit 1 and 2 have the same number as Exit 1 and 2 of Line 9's station.

Incheon airport Terminal 2 details
The terminal project is expected create about 93,000 jobs and KRW17trn ($15.8bn) worth of economic benefits.
The total size of the terminal will be 7.4 million square foot. The design for the terminal was finalised in June 2012.
The terminal will be built across an area of 378,000m², and will feature 37 contact stands and 32 remote stands in phase one.
It will be able to handle 18 million passengers annually by 2016.
The extension phase will increase the terminal area to 663,000m². It will also increase the number of contact and remote stands at the terminal to 72 and 42 respectively.
The terminal is expected to handle 46 million passengers per year by 2025.
The new terminal will feature 56 passenger aprons and 21 cargo aprons.
Design and sustainability of Incheon airport’s T2
The terminal design will be based on the concept of Bonghwang (Korean Phoenix), Korean air,a Korean mythological beast symbolising authority, longevity, strength and balance.
The terminal will be constructed based on Korean design patterns representing Korean culture and traditions.
Locally quarried granite and traditional Korean wood will be used for the flooring of the terminal.
The roof will be fitted with solar photovoltaic panels, to reduce energy consumption.
The terminal will have sculpture and exhibition areas, gardens featuring waterfalls, indoor streams, koi ponds and expansive indoor gardens.
The flora and fauna will reduce air-conditioning and ventilation costs.
Amenities at Incheon International Airport’s passenger terminal
The T2 will feature VIP lounges, concession and retail outlets, a transfer hotel, an aircraft observation deck, a ticketing hall and a number of other facilities.
The terminal will be equipped with automatic boarding systems to facilitate passengers.
It will also feature 222 check-in counters, 20 screening machines, 48 immigration departure machines, 62 immigration arrival machines and ten baggage claim areas.

터미널은 제1터미널과 제2터미널 2개가 있는데, 제2터미널은 대한항공과 일부 스카이팀 항공사(델타 항공, 에어 프랑스, KLM)가 사용하고, LCC와 2터미널로 가지 않는 스카이팀 항공사는 탑승동에, 제1터미널에는 아시아나항공, 스타얼라이언스, 원월드, 남은 비동맹 항공사[7]가 잔류한다.
거의 모든 대한민국 국적항공사들이 이곳을 허브로 삼고 있으며[8] 그외로 미국의 화물 항공사인 폴라 에어 카고가 허브로 이용한다.
공항 방어 임무는 대한민국 육군 제17보병사단, 대한민국 해군 인천해역방어사령부가 맡는다. 그래서 인천국제공항에 가 보면 17사단 3경비단 소속으로 실탄(!)이 장전된 총을 든 군인이 경비를 서는 것을 볼 수 있다. 이는 테러를 막기 위한 목적이자 NLL과 휴전선과 워낙 가깝고 사람들이 많아서 북한의 주요 목표가 될 수 있기 때문이다. 육군, 해군 및 해병대가 동시에 마크해 줄 만큼 중요한 곳이다. 인방사는 고속정전대가 영종도와 용유도 해안선을 방어하고 제2해병사단은 신속대응부대를 제공해 준다. 즉 육군과 해병대 신속대응부대 그리고 공항경찰대가 지상 전력인 셈이다.

[Naver Maps] is very useful in South Korea.
Starfield COEX Mall (formerly known as COEX Mall), containing COnvention centers, EXhibition halls and many malls, is an underground shopping mall in Gangnam-gu Seoul, South Korea. It has an area of about 154,000 square metres, of which 144,000 are on a single underground floor, making it the world's largest underground shopping mall.[1] The mall is located at Samseong-dong served by Samseong Station on Seoul Metro Line 2, at the intersection of Teheranno and Yeongdong Dae-ro. The COEX Mall is adjacent to the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, which is part of the COEX complex, run by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
Along with hundreds of shops, the mall houses two food courts, MegaBox (cinema), COEX Aquarium and a large bookstore, but the Kimchi Fields Museum has moved to Insadong. It features a game area that is used to film computer game tournaments, which are broadcast on local television. There are stages inside and outside the mall for seasonal events and public appearances by celebrities. Millennium Square is the main exit of COEX Mall connecting with Line 2's Samseong Station. Metro Seoul gimpo airport express line Bongeunsa station in the north.

Anyang (Korean pronunciation: [a.njaŋ]) is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. With a population of approximately 600,000 persons, it is the 20th largest city in South Korea. It is a satellite city of Seoul and located approximately 21 km (13 mi) south of Seoul, and 19 km (12 mi) north of Suwon. It is connected to Seoul via the Seoul Subway Line 1 and Line 4. The City motto of Anyang is Livable city, Proud citizens. City symbols are 'Podong-i' a grape mascot, Forsythia (flower), Ginkgo (tree), and Eagle.[1]
The 'Emblem of Anyang' consists of several different meanings. The blue color represents peace and stable life of its citizens, the white color represents purity of the white clad folk, the white circle represents shining sun and citizen unity, the interweaving lines represent industrial and scientific development, famous mountains around the city and tourist resort. FUKUOKA TO BUSAN | Taking the Ferry from Japan to Korea
My friend wanted to take the ferry from Fukuoka to Busan for her birthday, and we found tickets that were affordable-- only $98 round trip! (You can check prices and availability on their Japanese website: The cheapest tickets I could find were their current discount sale (From October 2016-March 2017). Travel in a group of 4 or more and your tickets are only 5900en round trip each ($60!)
Then we secured a cheap and spacious Airbnb for two in the downtown district of Seomyeon. (Get $30 off your first reservation when you use my referral code--I never stay at hotels anymore, Airbnb are way more comfortable! )

Seoul Walk: Gwanghwamun Square (광화문광장), @Line 5 - Seoul, South Korea [4K]
If you are on the lookout for some arts and culture in Seoul, you have probably heard of the Gwanghwamun Square. The Gwanghwamun is how the main gate to Seoul's biggest palace - the Gyeongbokgung Palace - is called. But even outside the palace walls, there are many great things to see!
Overseen by great King Sejong, the inventor of the Korean Script Hangul, the Gwanghwamun Square boasts many tall public buildings at its sides. There is the music conservatory, the history museum, the American embassy - and beneath the ground one of the largest book shopping centers in Seoul - the Kyobo Book Store. But also the Gyeongbokgung Palace, at the head of the Gwanghwamun Square, is worth a visit all on its own. Fitted with the amazing view of mountains in the background, this century old palace offers some of the best photo ops in Seoul.
The Square means business. There is always something going on here. This time around, we saw a Won Buddhist demonstration against the THAAD missile defense system in Korea, a live football screening of the U-20 world cup in S.Korea, memorials for the Sewol ferry accident, and so much more. Gwanghwamun Square was also the location of the peaceful anti President Park protests in the Spring '17.
Further down the road, you can visit the Cheonggyecheon Stream. A nice place to hangout with your family and friends. Many young people go on dates in this area and also here there are often street musicians and other small performances.
