பாண்டமங்கம் பிரசன்ன வெங்கட்ரமண கோவில் தேரோட்டம் நடைபெற்றது. இதில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு தேரினை வடம் பிடித்து இழுத்தனர்.
நாமக்கல் மாவட்டம், பரமத்திவேலூரை அடுத்த பாண்டமங்கலம் பிரசன்ன வெங்கட்ரமண சுவாமி கோவில் தேர்திருவிழா ஜனவரி 26 ந் தேதி கொடியேற்றத்துடன் தொடங்கியது. விழாவை தொடர்ந்து சுவாமி அன்ன வாகனம், சிம்ம வாகனத்தில் திருவீதி உலா நடைபெற்றது.
இதனையடுத்து விழாவின் முக்கிய நிகழ்வான தேரோட்டம் நிகழ்ச்சி இன்று மாலை நடைபெற்றது. இவ்விழாவில் சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் சந்திரசேகர், பொன்.சரஸ்வதி, கே.எஸ்.மூர்த்தி கலந்து கொண்டு தேரினை வடம் பிடித்து இழுத்து வைத்தனர்.
இதில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு தேரினை வடம் பிடித்து இழுத்துச்சென்றனர். இந்த தேர் கோவில் முன்பு தொடங்கி ஊரின் முக்கிய சாலையை சுற்றி கோவில் நிலை அடைந்தது.

நிகழாண்டில் புதன்கிழமை காலை 6 மணிக்கு பூஜையுடன் விழா தொடங்கியது. தொடர்ந்து 9 மணிக்கு ஹயக்ரீவர் திருமஞ்சனம், சங்கல்பம், லட்சார்ச்சனை, மேதா ஹயக்கிரீவ வித்யா, தீபாராதனையும், இரவு 8 மணிக்கு பிரசாதம் வழங்குதல் நிகழ்ச்சியும் நடைபெற்றது.
வியாழக்கிழமை தொடங்கி 18-ஆம் தேதி வரை காலை 8:30 மணிக்கு அபிசேகம், லட்சார்ச்சனை, மேதா ஹயக்ரீவ, மேதா சரஸ்வதி வித்யா மகா மந்திரம், மாலை 4:30 மணிக்கு, லட்சார்ச்சனை, தீபாராதனை, பிரசாதம் வழங்குதல் நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடைபெறும்.
19-ஆம் தேதி காலை 7 மணிக்கு புன்யாக வாசனம், ஹோம சங்கல்பம், லட்சார்ச்சனை நிறைவு, அன்னதானம் வழங்குதல், மாலை 6 மணிக்கு, ஹயக்கிரீவர் உற்சவ மூர்த்தி, திருக்கோயில் வளாகத்தில் சிறப்பு அலங்காரத்தில் திருச்சுற்று வந்து பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலிக்கிறார். அதையடுத்து பு~;பாஞ்சலி, கூட்டுப் பிரார்த்தனை, தீபாராதனையும் நடைபெறும்.

More than mere Survival - P.L. Perumal: A Life Dedicated to the Plantation Workers of India
The documentary video was produced by Ms. Birgitte Jallov, on volunteer basis, for the local union office in Ribe, Jutland, Denmark, circa 1986, who supported the project for the plantation workers, managed by PL Perumal.

30 years ago I traveled to India to document the international solidarity between workers in Denmark and India. With the support from Cpt. Perumal and his colleagues, a borrowed VHS camera and a paid air ticket, I traveled to New Delhi and continued to Madras and on to Conoor in the Nilgiri mountains on 2nd class trains. Upon return to Denmark I edited these 3 documentaries during the nights at a local community TV station in Jutland, Denmark (also for free, as they did not broadcast during the night) - VHS to VHS. This happened during a weekend and the following week I toured local branches of the supporting unions to share my extraordinary experience and share the direct testimonies of the Indian comrades. After 30 years on a VHS tape on my shelf, I had it transferred to digital format a few days ago, and could share it with the grandchildren and other family members of the extraordinarily great man, Cpt. P. L.Perumal! They in turn posted it om youtube! Manikantan Thiyagarajan, Thank you! In this way the documentaries are getting a 2nd Life, role and importance. Grateful!
