SRI SRI KRISHNA BALARAM MANDIR - VRINDAVAN, INDIA.
Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir is a Gaudiya Vaishnava temple in the holy city of Vrindavan. It is one of the main ISKCON temples in India and internationally. Hare Krishnas from all over the world can be seen here year-round, which adds color to this ancient ethnic holy city.
Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir was built in 1975 on the orders of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Even today, it is regarded as one of the most popular temples in Vrindavan. Klaus Klostermaier in his book Hinduism: A Short History described it as, a big and beautiful temple and one of the main sights of Vrindavan.
The deities of the temple are Sri Sri Krishna and Balarama, at the central altar. On the right altar are Sri Sri Radha Krishna with Gopis, Lalita and Vishakha. On the left altar is a Murti of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu with Sri Nityananda, and of Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and his spiritual teacher Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. Of all the temples in Vrindavan Krishna-Balaram Mandir, adopted one of the highest standards of cleanliness and of deity worship.
Near the temple, at the entrance to the complex is located samadhi shrine of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, built of pure white marble.

HARE KRISHNA.Mathura Krishna Balarama Mandir is a beautiful temple made of marble, which was built in the year 1975 in Uttar Pradesh. The presiding deities of the temple are Radha-Syamasundara, Gaura-Nitai and Krishna Balarama. The temple attracts devotees and tourists from all over the world.
Krishna Balarama Mandir was set up by the divine grace of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. He was the founder acharya of the religious society that is famous all over the world, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness popularly known as ISKCON. The Samadhi Mandir of Shila Prabhupada is located in front of the temple. After his demise in 1977, his body was laid to rest here. The house Swami Prabhupada has been converted into a museum. A guest house, goshalla, restaurant and a BhaktiVedanta Gurukul & International school are also located here.

Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir is a Gaudiya Vaishnava temple in the holy city of Vrindavan. It is one of the main ISKCON temples in India and internationally. Spiritual seekers and particularly devotees of Krishna from all over the world are seen here year-round, adding new color and life to this ancient holy city.
The Krishna Balaram Mandir was personally established by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on Rama Navami in 1975. The temple is situated in Raman Reti, Vrindavan, U.P., where the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna displayed His transcendental pastimes 5,000 years ago. Sri Krishna and Balaram would herd Their cows at Raman Reti near the Yamuna River. The temple has three altars. On the first altar are Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, the most merciful incarnations of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu who appeared about 500 years ago at West Bengal. The divine brothers, Sri Krishna and Balaram, are worshiped on the central altar and on the third altar are Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara along Their confidental gopis, Lalita and Vishakha.

ISKCON Vrindavan | Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir - ISKCON VRINDAVAN
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) was founded by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami (Srila Prabhupada) in New York City in 1966. ISKCON is coming in the disciplic Gaudiya (refers to Bengal) Vaishnavism line, a devotional tradition based on the teachings of Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam. ISKCON’s history includes a disciplic succession (sampradaya or guru parampara). It draws its legitimacy from its place in a succession of spiritual teachers and disciples (parampara). There are four major disciplic successions, and ISKCON belongs to the Brahma-Gaudiya-Madhva (referring to Madhvacharya [A.D. 1239-1319]) sampradaya, founded by Lord Krishna Himself.
The precepts and practices of ISKCON were taught and codified by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1532) who was an incarnation of Lord Sri Krishna Himself, along with His brother Nityananda Prabhu and six of His principle associates, the Goswamis of Vrindavana (Sanatana, Rupa, Jiva, Gopal Bhatta, Raghunatha Dasa and Raghunatha Bhatta).
The Bhagavad-gita, the principal scripture of The Hare Krishna Movement, is an eternal teaching, having Its’ written origins more than 5000-years ago, and before that time it was an oral tradition handed down from teacher to student from time immemorial.
Sri Chaitanya gave a powerful impetus for a massive bhakti (devotional) movement throughout India. Under His direction hundreds of volumes on the philosophy of Krishna consciousness were compiled. Many devotees followed in the preceptorial line of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu including in the 19th century an outstanding Vaishnava theologian, Bhaktivinoda Thakura (1838-1914) who brought Krishna consciousness to a modern audience by first sending a book on the Teachings of Lord Caitanya to McGill University in Canada in 1896. Bhaktivinoda Thakur’s son, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami (1874- 1937), became the guru of Srila Prabhupada (1896-1977) and instructed him to spread Krishna consciousness to the English speaking people of the West. On this order, Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada took a perilous journey across the Atlantic Ocean to USA in 1965, and consequently started the most auspicious spiritual movement, The International Society for Krishna Consciousness, for the fulfillment of his guru’s desire. ISKCON quickly spread to the major cities of the whole world in a mere 11 years.
