The enormous depth of things to do and see in and around Bangkok is just one of the many reasons Thailand is so popular as a tourist destination, Here is another very clear example of this fact. It is in fact uncertain when Sriratcha Tiger Zoo first opened, however it was in 1982 when it first started caring for tigers. The zoo started with just 2 couples, and currently there are 345 Bengal tigers housed here, with numbers increasingly on the rise...the largest captive Bengal tiger population in the world.

Sriracha TIGER ZOO - Thailand
Sriracha Tiger Zoo is approximately one hour drive from central Pattaya, maybe less it depends on traffic. I was a bit apprehensive about going but I actually really enjoyed it, I thought it was great fun. It's certainly a day out for the family and something kids would love.
There's also elephant and crocodile shows and only in Thailand would you see a crocodile show then eat it after.
