I know that while going to Tirumala, do not wear slippers in the foot. Some people in the video will appear that we are wearing sandal boots in the footpace, so no one gets angry immediately.

तिरुमला येथे पायी जात असताना पायात चप्पल बूट घालून जाऊ नये हे मला माहिती आहे. व्हिडियो मध्ये काही लोकांना आम्ही पायात चप्पल बूट घातलेले दिसून येतील, त्यामुळे कोणीही लगेच रागावून जाऊ नका.

कारण एक तर, आम्ही पुण्याहून तिकडे आलेलो असतो, पायी जाण्याची इच्छा असते, पण पायी जात असताना आम्ही आमच्या पायातील बूट कुठे ठेवावेत.?
पाठीवर बॅगेत ठेवले काय आणि पायात घातले काय हे एकच झालं. शिवाय बूट इतके महागडे असतात, की त्यांना इतरत्र ठेऊ सुद्धा शकत नाही. चोरी जाण्याची शक्यता असते, लगेज बॅग मध्ये पाठवून द्यावेत तर, तिथे सुद्धा घेतलेजात नाहीत.
खरं तर बूट किंवा चप्पल चा विषय हा चामडी चपलेचा विषय आहे, प्लास्टिक किंवा रेगझिनच्या बुटाने कसलीच बाधा येणार नाही असं मला वाटतंय.

तरीही कोणाला वाईट वाटलं तर क्षमा मागतो. आम्ही केलं त्याचं कोणीही अनुकरण करू नये, तिरुमला देवस्थानाच पावित्र्य राखण्यात मदत करा.

Srivari Mettu is a footpath route that has only 2388 steps with a distance of 2.1 km. It is about 21 km from Madhavam Rest House, the center of the holy town, Tirupati. From Tirumala's history, it is said that this is the route that Lord Srinivasa himself took to reach Tirumala after six months of his marriage, with this route being used by great devotees like Anamayya, Hathiram and the likes.

This is one of the Tirupati steps routes. One more route to steps is Alipiri, which is what is widely known. This route is easily reachable by public buses and private jeeps. On the way to this footpath route is the famous Srinivasa Mangapuram temple, which would make a pleasant visit if time permits.

Srivari Mettu - Tirupati to Tirumala Hills by Walk - Lord Balaji Darshan.

There are 2 Ways to reach Tirumala Hills by Walk, 1) Alipiri Mettu and 2) Srivari Mettu.

1) ALIPIRI METTU: Total Steps: 3550 Steps, Distance 12 Kms.

Alipiri Mettu Route is easy to Climb but Long way to Climb the Hills, it will take nearly 4 to 5 Hours to reach the Tirumala Hills thru Alipiri Mettu.

2) SRIVARI METTU: Total Steps: 2388 Steps, Distance 2.1 Kms.

Srivari Mettu Route is bit Difficult but short way to Climb the Hills, it will take nearly 2 to 3 Hours to Reach the Tirumala Hills thru Srivari Mettu.

SRIVARI METTU DETAILS:

Srivari Mettu is Approx. 20 Kms from Tirupati Bus Stand and Railway Station, TTD Free Buses and Autos available from Bus Stand and Railway Station.

Devotees can use this Route only in Day Time, Morning 6 PM to Evening 6 PM.

Luggage Deposit Counter is available at the starting point of Srivari Mettu, this Luggage will reach Tirumala Hills within 3 Hours.

Daily 6000 Divya Darshan Token issued at Srivari Mettu Devotees, Divya Darshan Token will be issued while reaching 250 Steps, Time Slot for the Divya Darshan will be allotted at 1200 Steps, Rubber Seal in the Token will be issued while reaching 2200 Steps. Difficult to get the Tokens on Weekends and Holidays.

Once you reach the Tirumala Hills, using the Divya Darshan Token, Devotees can Report at the Darshan Counter in the specified Time as given in the Divya Darshan Token.

If Devotees unable to get the Divya Darshan Token, they have to either Join the Sarva Darshan Counter (Free Darshan) or Seegra Darshan Counter (Special Entry Darshan - Paid Seva at Rs.300/- Per Head).

Tirumala - the home town of lord Balaji/Venkateswara/Srinivasa/Govinda is a hill town in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India
There are two ways to reach tirumala.

1) Alipiri foot way.
Close to 3600 steps.
Approx 13 km
Approx time to reach 6 hrs
Longer Route
It goes along Deer Park.
Bio-Metric counters are established on these foot paths.
It originates at Alipiri, situated at the foothills of Tirumala. It is 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) in length and passes through Tirumala deer park


2) Srivari Mettu foot way.
Close to 2400 steps.
Approx 7 Kms
Approx time to reach 2.5 hrs
Shorter Route
The drawbacks include lack of proper transport to Srivari Mettu from Tirupati,
restricted timings (6 am to 6.30 pm),lack of security personnel.
Bio-Metric counters are established on these foot paths
It originates at Srinivasa Mangapuram, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Tirupati. It is 2.1 kilometres (1.3 mi) in lengt


As far as the legend goes, Lord Venkateshwara himself left for Tirumala by this route.
The same route was then followed by sages such as Annamaya.
Later on, the rulers of Chandragiri among whom Krishnadevaraya's name is also mentioned,
have used this route to reach the abode of the Lord of Seven Hills

It is a place where a temple dedicated to Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, situated at a distance of 12
km on Tirupati - Madanapalle Road. Puranas says that Lord Venkateswara Swamy after his Kalyanam with
goddesses Padmavathi Devi at Narayana Vanam while proceeding to Tirumala Hills had stayed here for six
months on the bank of the river Kalyani on the advice of Agastheeswaram Maharshi. Hence this temple is
named Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy.
SRI VARI METTU: For
those of you who would like to climb the hills to Tirumala to fulfil a vow, there are two well-laid stone
footpaths leading to Tirumala. These paths are called sopanamargas. The more ancient of the two
sopanamargas which starts from Alipiri at the foot of the hills, is about 11 km in length, and is the
commonly-used route. The other sopanamarga (Srivari mettu) from Chandragiri, though only about 6 km in length.
