Day 3 Macmillan Cross Britain Way Impassable Right of way Sempringham Folkingham Prison Wild camping
Filmed on the 17/08/2017 since then my video skills and equipment has improved alot :)
I ended up camping in a fenced of area at a pump station to leave the cows in peace at Black Sluice Navigation. It was a small walk along Black Sluice Navigation till i reached a pillbox at Donington high bridge. Then onto bridge end causeway. I went though two village Horbling and Billingborough till i got to St Andrew's Church at Sempringham. At Folkingham i saw the front entrance to The House of Correction which i would loved to have a look round but sadly its been made into holiday homes and seems be out of public bounds. Across fields onto Pickworth was a nightmare not sure if is responsible for the rights of way next to that village but it was a disgrace. Give me a chainsaw i do it myself no problem i am not lazy! I had no choice but to camp in a field to which i kept to the farmers track avoiding any crops and camped in-between Pickworth and Sapperton. Remember i am putting a small one man tent and gone in morning I not putting up not a housing estate local people can not afford :)
South Forty-Foot Drain, also known as the Black Sluice Navigation, is the main channel for the land-drainage of the Black Sluice Level in the Lincolnshire Fens. The Drain has its origins in the 1630s, when the first scheme to make the Fen land available for agriculture. The Drain was navigable until 1971, when improvements to the pumping station led to the entrance lock being removed. It is currently being upgraded to navigable status by the Environment Agency, as part of the Fens Waterways Link
Sempringham St Andrew's Church. Home of Gilbert of Sempringham, the son of the lord of the manor. Gilbert is the only English Saint to have founded a monastic order, the Gilbertines. Sempringham was a centre of the Puritan movement in Lincolnshire. Samuel Skelton, curate of Sempringham, sailed to Massachusetts Bay in 1628 with the first group of Puritan settlers, who landed in Salem. Another member of the Sempringham congregation at the time was the young Anne Dudley, later Anne Bradstreet, the colony's first published poet. It became the enforced residence of Gwenllian of Wales, the daughter of Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, Last true Prince of Wales, Gwenllian died at the Priory after being held there for 54 years, on 7 June 1337.
The House of Correction Folkingham - In the early 19th century Folkingham was part of Quarter Sessions, the higher court that dispensed justice for the area, which explains why a House of Correction, or minor prison, was built. It was constructed on the site of Folkingham Castle. It was closed in 1878 but was taken over in about 1980 by the Landmark Trust, who converted the Gateway into a holiday home.
Macmillan Way - Cross Britain Way
Starts in Lincolnshire at Boston near The Wash, and heads westwards across the middle of England. From the Fens it goes through the Vale of Belvoir, the Leicestershire Wolds, and the National Forest. After the canals of South Staffordshire it turns south-west across Cannock Chase though East Shropshire along the Iron Bridge Gorge, then heads into the Shropshire hills. It then crosses the rolling green hills of mid Wales and over the Berwyn mountains. The final stretch is south-west through Snowdonia National Park to Barmouth.

Hello people, i am back again for some more content to this channel.
This video was just something i wanted to do as i got a MacBook for Christmas and wanted to try the editing software, so took a trip to Torksey to show you the castle and the Torksey viaduct.
Here is some information on the castle:
Torksey Castle is a manor house located in the centre of the village of Torksey on the east bank of the River Trent in Lincolnshire, England. It is 12 miles northwest of Lincoln on the A156 road. Seven miles to the north is Gainsborough Old Hall and 10 miles southeast is Lincoln Castle. It is a 16th-century Tudor stone-built fortified manor house founded by the Jermyn family of Suffolk. The building is on the Buildings at Risk Register. The site is strictly private, with no public access and is only visible from the A156 road and a public footpath, on the west bank of the River Trent.
