UK: PRINCE WILLIAM BECOMES A GODFATHER
Natural Sound
The eldest son of Britain's Prince Charles and the late Diana, Princess of Wales, became a godfather for the first time on Thursday at the age of sixteen.
Prince William, who is second in line for the British throne, took on his new role at a Christening attended by several members of European royal families.
Queen Beatrice of Spain was among several members of European royal families to attend the Christening of six-month-old Prince Konstantine Alexios, son of Crown Prince and Princess Pavlos of Greece.
The eldest son of Britain's Prince Charles and the late Diana, Princess of Wales - Prince William, also attended the service at the Greek cathedral of St Sophia, in central London.
Prince William, who is second in line for the British throne, took on his new role as Godfather during the Greek Orthodox ceremony.
He was one of seven other godparents.
The 16-year-old prince, his left arm in a sling from a recent operation on a broken finger, took his hand out of the sling in order to hold baby Konstantine during part of the christening ceremony.
Prince Pavlos said a close link between the two royal families was continuing as exiled King Constantine is William's godfather and the Prince of Wales is godfather of Prince Pavlos and of his daughter, Maria-Olympia.

She is a remarkably good horseback rider and has won two silver medals and one gold medal at the European Eventing Championships and was the first member of the British Royal Family to have competed in the Olympic Games.
--------------------------
Childhood & Early Life
Princess Anne was born at Clarence House, Buckingham Palace, England, to the then Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh and Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. She was their second child and only daughter.
George V authorized that the titles of British prince or princess would only be used for children and male-line grandchildren of the sovereign. But the new rules issued by George VI honored children of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip with such titles.
She was raised by the royal governess, Catherine Peebles, who used to look after the Princess and provided her with the early education at Buckingham Palace. Catherine was also Princess’ Brother, Prince Charles’ governess.
When Princess’ mother, Queen Elizabeth II, took over the throne after George VI’s death, she was titled as Her Royal Highness The Princess Anne. She did not attend her mother’s coronation because she was very young at the time.
A Girl Guides company, The 1st Buckingham Palace Company including the Holy Trinity Brompton Brownie pack was reformed so that, Princess could mingle with other girls of her age.
Until 1963, Princess remained under private tutelage until she was enrolled at Benenden School. She cleared her schooling in six years with 6 GCE-O-Levels and 2 A-Levels.
Royal Engagements & Duties
Princess attended her first royal public appointment at 18, right after leaving school. In 1969, she inaugurated an educational and training centre in Shropshire and made her first state royal trip when she travelled with her parents to Austria.
During 1975 European championships, Princess took part in the British 3-day eventing team and won silver medals for her individual performance as well as for the team. She is considered to be an exceptional horsewoman.
She is known for attending the funerals of foreign dignitaries on behalf of her mother as Queen does not attend them due to customary reasons. She also makes foreign trips on behalf of the United Kingdom.
Since 1970s, she has been the president of ‘Save the Children’ and also initiated ‘The Princess Royal Trust for Carers’ in the nineties. Her charity work takes her all over the world, including the disadvantaged areas of Africa.
In 1981, after the retirement of the Queen, Princess was elected by graduates of the London University as their institution’s Chancellor. She has also served as her Majesty’s High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
In 1990, she became the first member of the Royal Family to make an official visit to the Soviet Union as guest of government. Also, she has showed up on many occasions there as a colonel-in-chief of an Australian regiment.
She has worked as Commandant-in-chief of St. John Ambulance Cadets for St. John Ambulance, helping young people in shaping their future.
She is also a British representative in the International Olympic Committee, and was a member of the London Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games.
She is a Royal Fellow of the Royal Society - currently there are only five Royal Fellows, including The Princess Royal herself, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Kent, and The Duke of Cambridge.
Princess became the Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh in 2011. In the same year, she also accepted roles like— President of City and Guilds of London Institute, Master of the Corporation of Trinity House, etc..

Prince George | Transformation From 0 To 4 Years Old
Also Known As: George Alexander Louis
Famous As: Prince Of Cambridge
Nationality: British
Birthday: July 22, 2013
Age: 4 Years
Sun Sign: Cancer
Born In: St Mary's Hospital, London, United Kingdom
Father: Prince William, Duke Of Cambridge
Mother: Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge
Siblings: Princess Charlotte Of Cambridge
------------------------------------------
Prince George of Cambridge is third in line to the British throne, after his father, Prince William, and grandfather, Prince Charles. He was born on July 22, 2013 to Prince William and Kate Middleton in the same hospital where Prince William and his brother Prince Harry were born. His birth was a major event in the British history that brought in a lot of speculation and media attention. The ‘Prince George Effect’, also known as the ‘Royal Baby Effect’, popularized clothing and other artifacts associated with him. For the first time in history, a royal birth was marked by the issue of commemorative coins. During his christening, for the second time in British history, four generations of the Royal family, who were in line for the throne, were present (Prince George, Prince William, Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth). Though he is destined to be the King, his parents want him to be brought up as a normal child. He is doing his primary schooling at the private Thomas’s School in Battersea, away from the paparazzi as far as possible. His official title is ‘His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge’, taken from his father’s title ‘Duke of Cambridge’. As per royal linage, he is destined to eventually reign as King George VII of the United Kingdom.
-----------------------------
Birth
Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born at 4:24 PM on 22 July 2013 in Saint Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, West London, England to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. He was 8 pounds and 6 ounces (3.8 kg) at birth. Prince William and his brother Prince Harry were born in the same hospital to Diana, Princess of Wales.
The Royal House of London announced, earlier than is customary, that his mother was expecting when she had to be admitted in hospital for pregnancy related nausea and morning sickness in December 2012. His arrival became an anticipated event for the media that brought in a lot of speculation.
Prior to the official announcement of his birth, Prince William and Kate Middleton broke tradition by introducing Prince George to the world when they greeted the crowd gathered outside the hospital as they left with their new born baby for their home in Kensington Palace.
News of the royal birth was displayed officially on a traditional easel outside the Buckingham Palace. Gun salutes in Green Park and the Tower of London, coupled with bells of Westminster Abbey and other churches announced his arrival with fanfare. For the first time in history, a royal birth was marked by commemorative coins issued by the Royal Mint, Royal Canadian Mint and Royal Australian Mint.
The lullaby, ‘Sleep On’ was composed by the Welsh composer, Paul Mealor, as a gift for the royal baby. The lyrics were written by Brendan Graham and the recording was done by the New Zealand soprano, Hayley Westenra.
He was baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Chapel Royal at Saint James’s Palace on 23 October 2013. As is customary, water from the River Jordan was used for the ceremony. The Royal mint issued a set of commemorative coins to mark the occasion.
It was announced that he would have seven godparents that included Zara Tindall, Cousin of Prince William and Princess Anne; Jamie Lowther – Pinkerton, a former private secretary of the royal couple; Oliver Baker, Emilia Jardine – Paterson and William van Cutsem, friends of William and Kate and Earl Grosvenor, son of Duke of Westminister.
During his christening, for the first time in 119 years, four generations of the Royal family, who were in line for the throne, were present. (Prince George, Prince William, Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth).
His first birthday was celebrated around the theme of the children’s author Beatrix Potter, who is related to his maternal ancestors. The occasion was marked by a large gathering of royals.
Beginning of Education & Life
Prince George started his formal education in January 2016 at the Westacre Montessori School Nursery, close to his family home in Norfolk. He began his primary schooling at the private Thomas’s School in Battersea.
He is the eldest child and the only son of the Duke of Cambridge, which makes him third in line to the British throne, after his father and grandfather, Prince Charles.
On 24th July 2013, his parents announced his name as George Alexander Louis, to be formally known as Prince George of Cambridge. As per royal linage, he is destined to eventually reign as King George VII of the United Kingdom and 15 other realms around the world.

A number of generations of the Weaver family lived in Curry Rivel in Somerset. The headstone surmounted by a cross in the churchyard is that of my 4 x great-grandparents, Robert Weaver and his wife, Sarah, nee Street, and one of their sons.
My great-grandfather, Henry James Weaver, is remembered on the War Memorial in the village and also inside St Andrew's Church. He was accidentally killed in WW1, nine months after he'd stood at the altar inside the same church to marry his bride, Florence Smale.
Other family surnames associated with Curry Rivel include Twogood and Fidoe.
