Rendovic + Joanne Wedding Highlights
The day started on a stormy weather. Gust of wind and rain was worrying enough to make a momentus occasion be impossible to happen. We made months of preparation just for this single day to mark the start of the rest of our lives. We are so thankful and blessed that everyone was able to attend, even if it wasnt the most ideal of weather. We hope that everyone enjoyed their time at our reception. It brings joy in our hearts knowing that everyone showed great enthusiasm for this event. God bless you!

Sydney's Best Church(St. Mary's Cathedral) సిడ్నీ లో అందరూ చూడాల్సిన చర్చి
The Cathedral Church and Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Mother of God, Help of Christians (colloquially, St Mary's Cathedral) is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney and the seat of the Archbishop of Sydney, currently Anthony Fisher OP. It is dedicated to the Immaculate Mother of God, Help of Christians, Patroness of Australia and holds the title and dignity of a minor basilica, bestowed upon it by Pope Pius XI on 4 August 1932.
St Mary's has the greatest length of any church in Australia (although it is neither the tallest nor largest overall). It is located on College Street near the eastern border of the Sydney central business district in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. Despite the high-rise development of the central business district, the cathedral's imposing structure and twin spires make it a landmark from every direction. In 2008, St Mary's Cathedral became the focus of World Youth Day 2008 and was visited by Pope Benedict XVI who consecrated the new forward altar. The cathedral was designed by William Wardell and built from 1866 to 1928. It is also known as St Mary's Catholic Cathedral and Chapter House, Saint Mary's Cathedral and St Mary's Cathedral. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 3 September 2004.
Australia - Pope Beatifies Mary Mackillop
T/I: 10:10:27
Pope John Paul II on Thursday (19/1) put a maverick 19th century
Australian nun, banished by Catholic Church leaders of the time,
on the road to sainthood. On his second day in Australia, the Pope said mass at a Sydney racetrack. Almost 200,000 people turned out to attend the beatification ceremony of Mother Mary MacKillop, who has been a focal point for feminist groups within the church. The pontiff
received a rousing welcome from the crowd as he arrived in the
popemobile. Two large portraits of the founder of the Josephite order of nuns were unveiled beside the huge altar. The Archbishop of Sydney, Cardinal Edward Clancy, thanked the pontiff for the beatification, saying they had waited 80 years for this day. The day began with a prayer service at Saint Mary's cathedral, the pontiff taking time out to meet schoolchildren who lined the steps, shaking hands and touching faces as he moved through the throng. He later met Prime Minister Paul Keating and his family at government house. Then, the most solemn moment of the papal visit, with the pontiff praying quietly at the tomb of the woman who will be Australia's first saint.

Pope Benedict XVI - Recieve the Power - The Gift of the Holy Spirit - Sydney 2008
In the vigil of WYD 2008 in Sydney, Pope Benedict XVI reminded us of the words of Jesus: Be my witnesses throughout the world. He focused our attention on how to become witnesses, telling us that we need to understand the person of the Holy Spirit and his vivifying presence in our lives. This is not easy to comprehend. Yet we do know that it is the Holy Spirit who, though silent and unseen, gives direction and definition of our witness to Jesus Christ.
Let's hear some more of the words from the Holy Father's speech in this unforgettable WYD Vigil where we were encouraged to receive and believe in the power of the Spirit of Love.

Mary MacKillop, North Sydney, Australia, Dec 6, 2019
Mary Helen MacKillop RSJ (15 January 1842 – 8 August 1909) was an Australian nun who has been declared a saint by the Catholic Church, as St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. Of Scottish descent, she was born in Melbourne but is best known for her activities in South Australia. Together with the Reverend Julian Tenison Woods, she founded the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart (the Josephites), a congregation of religious sisters that established a number of schools and welfare institutions throughout Australia and New Zealand, with an emphasis on education for the rural poor.
The process to have MacKillop declared a saint began in the 1920s, and she was beatified in January 1995 by Pope John Paul II. Pope Benedict XVI prayed at her tomb during his visit to Sydney for World Youth Day 2008 and in December 2009 approved the Catholic Church's recognition of a second miracle attributed to her intercession. She was canonised on 17 October 2010, during a public ceremony in St Peter's Square at the Vatican. She is the first Australian to be recognised by the Catholic Church as a saint.

WYD 2008 - Benedict XVI rests in Australia
Three days to rest and another four to convene with the young people at World Youth Day. This is the program being followed by the Pope in Australia, his longest voyage and the largest event ever hosted in the history of Australia. From the Papal plane he gravely condemned the sexual abuses committed by priests and assured: We will do everything possible to cure and find reconciliation with the victims.
After arriving at the airport, the Pope was transferred by automobile to the Kenthurst Study Center residence, a formation center for the prelature of Opus Dei, where he will rest until the evening of July 16.
Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said that the Pope is absolutely tranquil and reposed. After celebrating the Mass he had time to walk around, read his speeches, and talk about the preparations for World Youth Day, which he will be attending starting Thursday.
