St Winifrede's Well, Holywell, North Wales
The story of St.Winifrede goes back to AD660. Legend tells us that in that year, a local Welsh prince named Caradoc had made advances to Winifrede but she turned him down. In a rage he severed her head with his sword. Where her head fell, a spring arose. Winifred was brought back to life by her uncle St.Beuno, the Abbot of Clynnog Fawr. The well is known as 'The Lourdes of Wales'.

St Clether chapel and Holy well
This video is of St Clether chapel and holy well. You can only get there by walking from St Clether church. The chapel is by itself in a very nice green part of Bodmin moor. There is a chapel (a new roof was put on in 2010) which is ancient with an ancient well next to it. They are both always open. The church of St Clether is open between 10:00-5:00 every day and while you are there you should have a look at that. To here the piano being played in St Clether church go on to the web link below:

St David's Visit, Part XXV, 'St Non's Chapel' by Sheila, June 2015
A lovely warm walk with blue skies and a gentle breeze as I made my way from St David's to the coastal pathway taking me to the St Non Chapel, the Holy Well and the Ruins of the original chapel .A serene experience--a very peaceful atmosphere within the chapel where I light a candle for family, friends and the World----the chapel is embraced by the coastline, tucked in and a very good place for the 'Retreat'--------The stain glass windows allowed plenty of light into this little Chapel which brings out the beauty of the glass. A feeling of peace here--a moment to reflect before I continued my walk further around the coastal pathway towards St Justinian
Basingwerk Abbey - Abaty Dinas Basing
Basingwerk Abbey (Welsh: Abaty Dinas Basing) is the ruin of an abbey near Holywell, Flintshire, Wales, in the care of Cadw (Welsh Heritage).
Basingwerk Abbey ruinsThe abbey was founded in 1132 by Ranulph de Gernon, 2nd Earl of Chester, who brought Benedictine monks from Savigny Abbey in southern Normandy. In 1147, the abbey became part of the Cistercian Order and therefore a daughter house of Buildwas Abbey in Shropshire. In 1157, the abbey was given the manor of Glossop by King Henry II. The hilltop Monks' Road and the Abbot's Chair in Glossop is a reminder of the monks' efforts to administer their possession. Earlier on, they had received the manor of West Kirby from the Earls of Chester. In the 13th century, the abbey was under the patronage of Llywelyn the Great, Prince of Gwynedd, and his son Dafydd ap Llywelyn gave St Winefride's Well to the abbey. The monks harnessed the power of the Holywell stream to run a corn mill and to treat the wool from their sheep. In 1536, abbey life came to an end with the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Its dissolution was made lawful by the Dissolution of the Lesser Monasteries Act.
Two centuries earlier a Welsh seer, Robin Ddu (Robin the Dark) said the roof on the refectory would do very nicely on a little church under Moel Famau. It did. When the abbey was sold, the roof went to Cilcain church and the amazing Jesse window went to the church at Llanrhaeadr-yng-Nghinmeirch.
Today, the abbey ruin is part of Greenfield Valley Heritage Park.

St. MARGARET'S CHURCH, BODELWYDDAN
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
St Margaret's Church (nicknamed The Marble Church), Bodelwyddan, is a Decorated Gothic Style parish church in the lower Vale of Clwyd in Denbighshire, Wales and is visible for many miles because its spire rises to 202 feet . It lies just off the A55 trunk road.
The church was erected by Lady Margaret Willoughby de Broke (daughter of Sir John Williams of nearby Bodelwyddan Castle) in memory of her husband, Carl Fisher, 16th Baron Willoughby de Broke. She laid the foundation stone on 24 July 1856 and the new church designed by John Gibson was consecrated by the Bishop of St. Asaph on 23 August 1860 after construction at a cost of £60,000. The new parish of Bodelwyddan was created on 3 August 1860, from the communities of Bodelwyddan, Faenol and Pengwern, which until that date had been part of the parish of St. Asaph.[1] When it was first built, it was nicknamed the 'Pearl of the Vale'.
The church contains fourteen varieties of marble including pillars made of Belgian Red marble, a nave entrance is made from Anglesey marble and shafts of Languedoc marble on bases of Purbeck marble.[2] It also contains elaborate woodwork, and in the tower can be found windows of stained glass on the north and south sides, featuring Saint Margaret and Saint Kentigern.[3] It is a popular tourist destination.
In the latter part of the 20th century the church was very distinctive because it was so white. With the passage of time, pollution has resulted in the colour becoming more grey, and therefore more like other stone buildings.
The church was in Flintshire until 1974, in Clwyd from 1974 until 1996, and since then has been in Denbighshire.

Wells to Walsingham Light Railway
I took my three year old on a train for the first time! About an hour from us is the Wells and Walsingham light railway. He loved it!
Walsingham has an interesting history, there was just too much info to add to the video.
I am aware that alot of my photo's slant slightly to the right, which is a shame, I took Finley by myself, and I am still recovering from a broken shoulder and a metal plate in it, so I was trying to hold his hand and take photo's at the same time. But there you go.. I am not a professional photographer, so I doesn't really matter in the scheme of things :)
Hope you enjoy the visit.....
