Punt Road Winery
Punt Road Winery and Napoleone Brewery & Ciderhouse are located at the entrance of Yarra Valley’s wine community just outside the township of Coldstream, an hour’s drive east of Melbourne. Everything we do comes from this one piece of dirt; ideas are born here, all fruit for our projects is grown here, and everything we make is crafted, bottled, and shared on site.
Here on our 300 acre property, there are 150 acres under vine, 150 acres of apples and pears, two cellar doors, a winery, and a brewery. Though we’re on a large acreage, we are a small team very closely connected to the Napoleone family who own and operate the property.

The ten stops along the Yarra Valley’s Coldstream Trail have been carefully selected for their diversity, passion to their craft, and welcoming attitude.
Been on a food and wine trail? This is different. Why? Well, did you know this trail includes kid friendly activities, has two microbreweries, one of the most spectacular gardens in Victoria, or that Charlie Chaplin fell into a pool here? And that’s just the beginning...
Yarra Valley’s Coldstream Trail offers a triangles slice of diversity, accessibility and a quality that sets it apart. That quality is called passion. And it’s found in the aromas of an oak-laden pinot; in local produce that has been fused in creative and mouth-watering dishes; and in the sweetness of new season fruits you picked yourself accompanied by hand made farmhouse cheeses. Add to this spectacular vistas of rolling countryside and distant mountains at every turn.
Preservation of the trail’s historic roots – firmly embedded in its heritage properties, cellar doors and famed vineyards – is approached with similar heart and soul. The oldest vines in the region provide a rustic setting to drink in times gone-by, peeling back yet another layer of the trail’s remarkable diversity.
Activities for kids and a gourmet break for adults, all in a short 13km loop. On Melbourne’s doorstep and just five minutes from Lilydale, this unique trail, showcases the very best of the Yarra Valley.
