In this video we take you to St. Jacobs Farmer's Market and the town of St. Jacobs. The St. Jacobs town is located in the southwestern part of Ontario, just north of Waterloo, in the township of Woolwich.
Waterloo region is still home to the largest population of Old Order Mennonites in Canada, particularly in the areas of St Jacobs and Elmira. They are often seen on the local roads using their traditional horse and buggy transportation.
Note: the Mennonite people have chosen to live their lives without the use of technology, keeping their traditional fashion as well as old customs. If you visit the market, please respect their privacy.
