Balıklı gől-Şanlıurfa
Urfa, Turkey has many biblical stories associated with its name. Some believe that this was where God tested Job and others tell of a ruler who was cured by a handkerchief that had wiped the brow of Jesus. But Urfa's most famous tale concerns the Prophet Abraham.Legend has it that Abraham was born and raised here, and that he incurred the wrath of King Nimrod when he not only declared war on idolatry but also won the heart of the king's daughter, Zeliha. Nimrod sentenced Abraham to death, and a huge pyre was built in the middle of the city. Miraculously, just as Abraham was tossed into the fire, the flames were transformed into water and the logs into fish.Since then, the Pool of Abraham and the carp that live in it have been considered sacred; the Pool of Ayn?-Zeliha is said to have been formed by Zeliha's tears and it is said that anyone who eats them will be struck blind.Feeding the fish is not only encouraged but necessary, as the masses of swarming fish depend on the food of pilgrims, visitors and tourists of Balikli Gol to keep them fed.
The legendary Pool of Sacred Fish (Balıklıgöl) where Abraham was thrown into the fire by Nimrod. The pool is in the courtyard of the mosque of Halil-ur-Rahman, built by the Ayyubids in 1211 and now surrounded by the attractive Gölbaşı-gardens designed by architect Merih Karaaslan. The courtyard is where the fishes thrive. A local legend says seeing a white fish will open the door to the heavens.

مقام قبر النبي أيوب عليه السلام في صلالة - عمان Prophet Ayub grave
Grave of Prophet Ayub in Salalah, oman
Nabi Ayub was the grandchild of Nabi Ishak (Isaac) and his mother was the female offspring of Nabi Lut (Lot). He was, therefore, the good grandchild of Nabi Ibrahim (Abraham).
Prophet hazrat ayub also known as Job in Bible. In Arabic language he known as prophet ayub a.s.
The narrative goes on to state that once a few years of suffering, God ordered Job to Strike with thy foot!. At once, Job affected the bottom along with his foot and God caused a cool spring of water to gush forth from the world, from that Job might fill up himself. The Qur'an states that it had been then that God removed his pain and suffering and He came Job's family to him, blessed him with several generations of kids and granted him nice wealth. additionally to the transient descriptions of Job's narrative, the Qur'an more mentions Job double within the lists of these whom God had given special steering, knowledge and inspiration (IV: 163) and jointly of the lads WHO received authority, the Book and therefore the gift of prophethood (VI:84).
The city of Urfa (formerly Edessa) in southeastern Turkey also claims to be the location at which Job underwent his ordeal. Urfa has a well said to be the one formed when he struck the ground with his foot as described in the Qur'an. There is a tomb of Job located outside of the city of Urfa. The Tomb of Job is also said to be situated in Jabal Qara outside the city of Salalah in southern Oman.

Erdogan builds thousands of dams, why? - In Turkey
The Turkish economy is growing fast, too fast. But how does a country grow without oil, without gas? More than two thousand dams are currently under construction to match the need for energy. Green energy, though. But the areas where these dams are being built are paying a high price. We travel to a drowned village that disappeared under the water of a dam: only the minaret is left to see. How does a community deal with this loss? And why does the government continue to plan new dams, even though studies show that the dams do not produce nearly as much energy as promised. Does it have anything to do with the neighboring countries such as Iraq and Syria, which are dependent on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers originating in Turkey and that are now fully built with dams?
Original title: The drowned village
In this seven-part series Bram Vermeulen travels through Turkey - From Istanbul to the sparsely populated mountains in the east; from the closed borders of Armenia to the open southern borders shared with neighboring Arab countries - observing the rapid changes in a country that has a renewed fresh confidence.

Turkey set for first national institute of archaeology
Turkey is set to finally acquire an archaeology institute after many years of waiting, with Gaziantep Mayor Fatma Şahin set to convene with archaeologists in the southeastern province in the coming days to outline details about the institute.
According to 2014 data, Turkey is currently home to 117 Turkish and 36 foreign excavations. Also, 82 scientific archaeological surface surveys are being conducted by Turkey while 14 are being conducted by foreign countries.
The move will finally give Turkey its own archaeological institute, the Anatolian Archaeology Institute of Turkey, having already witnessed the establishment of German, Austrian, American, French, British, Japanese and Dutch archaeological institutes on its soil.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality has been continuing diplomatic talks with the European Union for the establishment of the institute, with the 28-member union providing 10 million euros of support. Ninety percent of the institute’s budget will be provided by the EU, while the remainder will come from national sources.
The idea for the establishment of the institute emerged in June 2014 during the announcement of the results of 2014 archaeological works in Turkey. Foreseeing its contributions to European cultural heritage, the EU provided a large amount of support to the project.
As part of the project, scientific archaeological works and research will be conducted in Anatolia, seminars will be organized, publications on Anatolian archaeology will be released and a history of religions library will be established. The works of the institute will start on an international level in April.
“During my nearly 12-year parliamentarian term, I have done my best to take steps on the historical and cultural areas of Gaziantep. I have always been aware of this heritage in this land where I was born, grew up and live. Guests first ask ‘What do you have?’ when visiting your homeland. One of our answers is archaeological findings,” Şahin said.
“But we have failed to promote them to the world. During a symposium in Gaziantep, I learned that we had no institute for Anatolian archaeology. For the issue, we contacted our Foreign Ministry, EU Minister Volkan Bozkır, the Culture and Tourism Ministry and the European Commission Turkish Delegation. The project drew the attention of the EU thanks to its possible contributions to the European culture and was accepted,” she said.
Each country that performs excavations in Turkey has an institute at the same time. Financial support given to the excavations and scientific data are provided by the institutes. Although there are 117 Turkish excavations, Turkey does not have a scientific institute to gather data from Turkish archaeological work.
Universities have almost no communication with each other except through publications. An institute is very important in bringing together all excavations.
Still, because the institute will be under the auspices of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, there are concerns that it could be prevented from becoming a center of Turkish archaeology. To militate against such a situation, there have been situations that an academic committee from universities be formed, with the panel electing the chairman of the institute for each term.
The administration should also be inspected by and be the recipient of funds from the Culture and Tourism Ministry even though it is administrated by the metropolitan municipality, according to suggestions.
The institute will also make a significant contribution to employment in the archaeological field.

Maulana Tariq Jameel is a well known Islamic scholar from Pakistan. His native town is Tulambah near Mian Channu. His father belonged to the Muslim Rajputs community , was an agriculturist and was a respected person in his field and the local area.Tariq Jameel was born and raised in Mian Channu and is the son of a feudal agriculturist also referred to as Mian in Pakistan. In his childhood he lived a relatively modest life but religion was not a major part of his life and his family in particular. It wasn't until he pursued his M.B.B.S. in Lahore that his focus shifted towards Islam. After completing his Higher Secondary School education (a.k.a F.Sc in some regions of Pakistan) in pre-medical (equivalent to A 'levels') from Government College University Lahore, he took admission in King Edward Medical College in Lahore. He then went on to receive Islamic education from Jamia Arabia, Raiwind (near Lahore), Pakistan where he studied Quran, Hadith, Sharia, Tasawwuf, logic and Fiqh. Transition Towards Islam His proclivity towards Islam grew during hostel life in Lahore and can mainly be attributed to the group members of Tablighi Jamaat who he became friends with during his college life. His untiring efforts brought real Islamic values in the lives of some of the greatest Pakistani cricketing legends such as Saeed Anwar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmedand Saleem Malik. He has also been the main paradigm for Junaid Jamshed since his volte-face towards Islam. Tariq Jameel is also a student of the late Mufti Yousuf Ludhianvi another renowned scholar. Islamic Teachings Tariq Jameel's lectures incorporate a wide range of issues of Islam and social concern. He especially emphasizes on self-purification, avoidance of violent ways, observance of Allah' orders and to follow the Prophet Muhammad's sunnah. He is a staunch critic of moral degeneration, indecent practices and shamelessness that have established its stronghold among young generation of Muslims.

The well of Prophet Hazrat Syedina Ayub (RA) -Job from the Old Testament, Uzbekistan 09
Prophet Ayub Alaihis salatus-salaam [PBUH](a descendant of the Prophet Hazrat Syedina Ibrahim Alaihis-salatus-salaam [PBUH]). Hazrat Ayub Alaihis-salaam was a very rich man before thieves attacked his big farm, killed many of his servants, and ran away with his cattle. After some time the roof of his house gave in, resulting in the death of many of his family members. A few years later a skin disease caused ulcers on his face and hands. His sores were full of worms. It is said that when any of those worms fell down he used to pick them up and put them back inside. Even his wife under the influence of Iblees (Satan) left him. But he remain patient and never lost his faith in Allah even after he was severely tested by allah many a times .And he was rewarded for it. Allah cured him and restored his old status and this great prophet Hazrat Syedina Ayub Alaihis salatus salaam is known for his great Patience mentioned in Quran.
Nabi Hazrath Syedina Ayoub Alaihis salatus salaam was from Syria and had two wives. He had become very sick and the illness spanned over 15 years. During that time the exterior of his body became infested with worms. Nabi Hazrat Syedina Ayub Alaihis-salatus-salaam Alaihis salam believed that his flesh was the food for these creatures of Allah and to show his devotion to Allah, he allowed the worms to eat of his flesh. If a worm would fall off, he would pick it back up and put it back on his flesh.
The sickness repulsed the people of Syria to the extent that he had to leave the area. Only one of his two wives chose to travel with him. The one who remained behind was as repulsed by his sickness and belief as were others who drove him away. The wife who remained with him was seemingly very supportive and accepting of his devotion to Allah. They left Syria and travelled to the mountain top where his remains now lie.
HAZRAT JIBRIEL ALAIHIS SALAM'S conveyed Salaam at Critical Stage :-
Hazrat Jabriel Alaihis salam conveyed salam at a very critical stage when a worm was eating in tongue in the mouth of this great prophet and he was not able to answer to the salutation ( salam ) of Jabriel Alaihis salaam, again hazrat jabriel alaihis salam came next time and enquired why he was not able to answer the salam, then Hazrat Syedina Ayub alaihis salam explained Hazrat Jibriel Alaihis salam, a worm was feeding from his tongue and he would have shaken his tongue or given answer to hazrat jabriel alaihis salam then the worm would have lost his food.
This great act of this prophet pleased Allah Shanahu Thaalah and as stated, his sickness lasted over 15 years and at some point the worms began to eat inside his mouth. It was at this point that Nabi Hazrat Syedina Ayub Alaihis-salatus-salaam realized his breaking point and finally asked Allah for mercy. In response to this request, aware of the years of devotion and hardship, it is believed that Allah instructed Nabi Hazrat Syedina Ayub Alaihis-salatus-salaam to step out from his house and place his foot in a particular spot. When doing so a small hole in the ground opened up and from within the ground an outpouring of water occurred right next to his foot.
Allah then instructed him to drink this water and upon doing so, he was not only cured of his sickness but his body, then at least 250 years old, was restored to the health of an 18 year old young man. Nabi Hazrat Syedina Ayub Alaihis-salatus-salaam would then live until the age of 92 when he finally died and was put to rest in the very spot he dwelled all these years after his departure from Syria. Until now, Nabi Hazrat Syedina Ayub Alaihis-salatus-salaam's body remains in the same spot.
