Top of the tower of St John The Baptist Church, Glastonbury, England.
On the day of Glastonbury Carnival (12th November 2011), this church opened up the tower and the public paid £1.50 to walk up 60 steps to the bell ringers room and then a further 100 steps to the roof of the tower. The total height of the tower is 135 ft high, and on a good clear day you can see as far as Wales (the day we went up, you couldn't see Wales).
Oldest Catholic Church in London
St. Etheldreda's is the oldest Catholic church in London, built c. 1290 during the reign of Edward I. It is all that's left of the London palace of the powerful Bishops of Ely, and has hosted Edward the Black Prince as well as his brother John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, after his Savoy Palace was burned by Wat Tyler in the 1381 Peasants' Revolt.

Ottery St Mary, known as Ottery, is a town and civil parish in the East Devon district of Devon, England, on the River Otter, about 10 miles east of Exeter on the B3174. At the 2001 census, the parish, which includes the villages of West Hill, Metcombe, Fairmile, Alfington, Tipton St John and Wiggaton, had a population of 7,692. The population of the urban area alone at the 2011 census was 4,898. There are two electoral wards in Ottery (Rural & Town). The total population of both wards, including the adjacent civil parish of Aylesbeare, at the above census was 9,022. Ottery is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as 'Otri' and 'Otrei'. 'Oteri Sancte Marie' is first mentioned in 1242. The town takes its name from the River Otter on which it stands, the river taking its name from the animal. The 'St Mary' element refers to the fact that the town belonged to the church of St Mary in Rouen in 1086.
The town was the birthplace of the Romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, where his father, the Reverend John Coleridge, was a vicar. The diplomat Sir Ernest Satow spent his retirement (1906–29) here at a house called Beaumont, which still stands. Sir Ernest was buried in the churchyard; there is a commemorative plaque to him in the church.
Ottery's notable buildings include the Tumbling Weir and St Mary's church. The town is the site of The King's School, now a comprehensive school, a former grammar school founded in 1545 by Henry VIII, and Ottery St Mary Primary School.
The town as it now stands, comprises of several independent shops, mainly in Mill Street, Silver Street and Yonder Street. An area known as 'The Square', is the heart of Ottery St Mary. There are pubs, restaurants, coffee and tea rooms. Ottery provides services, employment and a wide range of shopping for local residents as well as visitors from nearby villages, towns and often visitors coming from further afield and abroad. Historical Features are within walking distance from parking areas allowing residents and visitors to enjoy both history and shopping together.
Until 1967 the town was served by Ottery St Mary railway station, which was closed under the Beeching Axe. The line ran from Sidmouth Junction on the main line from Exeter to Waterloo to the north of Ottery and to Sidmouth and Exmouth to the south. The line split just south of Tipton St John, near the Bowd Inn. The first line to go was the Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton line, which originally connected to the Exeter line. Subsequently the line from Sidmouth to Sidmouth Junction was closed under Beeching. For many years the path of the railway, with the rails removed, remained in place, with evidence of the railway gates at places such as north of Cadhay Bridge.

HISTORY:
St John's was built between 1890 and 1892 to a design by the Lancaster architects Paley, Austin and Paley. The estimated cost of the church was £6,800 but, because of problems with the foundations, its final cost, including the fittings, was nearer to £12,000 (£1,170,000 in 2015). It provided seating for 616 people. Financial donations towards the site and structure of the church were made by Thomas Brooks, 1st Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw Hall. Because of diminishing numbers attending the church, and because of thefts of lead from the roof of the church, the congregation has decided to opt for the church to be declared redundant. The church was declared redundant on February 2012.

The Most Haunted, Abandoned Church in the UK, Viewed Via Drone: Skidbrooke Church In Lincolnshire.
The isolated, abandoned church has allegedly had many dealings with Sataniic groups over the past few decades. Because of this Skidbrooke has been the subject of much publicity due to reports of paranormal activity at the church. Several ghosthunters have reported unusual goings-on at the building, and the church was nicknamed ‘the Demon church’ after it became popular with the Satanist groups of 1970’s and 1980’s.
In 2004, St. Botolph’s church was in the news for having been the place where animal sacrifices had taken place, and satanic graffiti had been found on the walls.
Visitors have reported seeing a ghostly monk on the site, seeing odd lights and hearing sounds of storms in calm weather, and hearing strange, unexplained noises at night.
Whatever it's past may be, it's a beautiful building that is still open to the public but with the aid of a drone you can see more that you normally would from ground-level.

RAF CASPS Historic Interview | Sir Arthur Harris
DON'T FORGET TO LIKE & SUBSCRIBE
Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Arthur ‘Bomber’ Harris 1st Baronet, GCB OBE AFC speaks candidly about his wartime role in this month’s RAF CAPS historic leadership-themed interview filmed in 1977.
Sir Arthur Harris has been the subject of much debate since the end of World War II, dividing opinion like few others in British military history. He is seen in some quarters as a hero in the struggle against an evil foe, and yet is considered a criminal by others.
In this rare interview, conducted by Group Captain (later Air Vice-Marshal) Tony Mason CB CBE DL at the RAF Staff College, Bracknell, Sir Arthur Harris gives his, often frank, views on the prosecution of the Air War against Germany and his experiences with the personalities of that era.
This historically significant interview provides a unique insight into one of the most debated periods of British military history and will appeal to historians and the layman alike.
Viewers may find some of the comments in the video controversial; however, in deference to the historic record that the interview presents the comments have not been edited and viewers are asked to judge the interview within the context of the period.
