The Crypt Of St John The Baptist (Church) Berkswell
St John the Baptist, Berkswell, is a Norman parish church containing one of the finest crypts in the country. The church is a Grade 1 Listed Building and is featured in England’s Thousand Best Churches by Simon Jenkins.
Construction of the present church began in the 12th century (cll50) when two crypts, the chancel, nave, and a short North aisle were built. During the 14th century two archways leading to a South aisle were added and in the 15th century the North aisle was lengthened. There has been little structural change since the 18th century. The date of construction of the Tower is unknown but it is believed to have been in existence by 1600.
The half-timbered two-storey South porch was added c. 1500. There is an external stairway leading to the upper chamber used at various times as a priest’s room, a village school, a parish council house and today it serves as the vestry. At one time wedding ceremonies were conducted in church porches. The 12th century oak door containing handmade nails is still in use.
Crypt
The late Norman crypt dates back to c1150 and is composed of two chambers both of which are rib vaulted. The unique octagonal western crypt contains a Caen stone font given to the church by the Reverend Thomas Cattell who was the Rector from 1791 until 1826. The eastern rectangular crypt contains traces of a medieval wall decoration above the altar. The low stone seating around the walls was once used by the elderly and infirm. Where the saying '' Weakest To The Wall Came From'' The crypt, which can be accessed via a pew in the North aisle, is used today as a chapel, a baptistery and occasionally an art gallery.

The Crypt of the Capuchin Monks *DISTURBING*
This video was taken in August 2013 in Rome, Italy. Filmed on a GoPro Hero 3 Silver, edited with iMovie, and music by Boards of Canada and their track Music is Math.
As described by Wikipedia:
The Capuchin Crypt is a small space comprising several tiny chapels located beneath the church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini on the Via Veneto near Piazza Barberini in Rome, Italy. It contains the skeletal remains of 3,700 bodies believed to be Capuchin friars buried by their order.
To those who might take offense to the video:
The Catholic order insists that the display is not meant to be macabre, but a silent reminder of the swift passage of life on Earth and our own mortality.

Beginning of a Quarter Peal at Brinkworth, Wilts
Brinkworth, the longest village in Britain at 6 miles, contains a heavy, lumpy 6. The bells are not particularly easy to ring, the ropes are ridiculously long, and the clock case (in the bottom right here) makes the 4 and 5 almost impossible to ring due to the ropes falling pretty much literally onto the clock case!! The wooden frame for the staircase, combined with the clock case, means the tenor is hidden in a corner.
They were augmented to 6 in 1924 when Mears cast the treble - back 5 are 1663 Purdue. They were rehung by Whites in 1972, although I don't think they left the tower, which may explain the still-poor go!! They sound a lot better in the flesh than they do on here, they're not quite THAT buckety!! They are regarded as Marmite bells -- you either love 'em or hate 'em!! Personally I liked these as a challenge and a bit of fun!! And the ringing wasn't the greatest here, but it did settle after a while and considering the bells it was a good effort by the band, 1260 PB Doubles, 46 minutes.

HISTORY:
The church foundations date back nearly nine hundred years, being created by Roger de Beaumont, 2nd Earl of Warwick, in 1123.[1] In addition to founding the church, de Beaumont established the College of Dean and Canons at the church. The only surviving part of the Norman church which de Beaumont had built is the crypt.
The chancel vestries and chapter house of the church were extensively rebuilt in the 14th century by a later Earl of Warwick, Thomas de Beauchamp (later pronounced Beecham), in the Perpendicular Gothic style.[2] His descendants built the Chapel of Our Lady, commonly known as the Beauchamp Chapel. It contains the effigial monuments of Richard de Beauchamp, 13th Earl of Warwick, Ambrose Dudley, 3rd Earl of Warwick, and Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester. Buried in the chancel of the church is William Parr, 1st Marquess of Northampton, the brother of Queen consort Catherine Parr
