Liskeard is an ancient stannary and market town and civil parish in south east Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Liskeard is situated approximately 20 miles (32 km) west of Plymouth, 14 miles (23 km) west of the River Tamar and the border with Devon, and 12 miles (20 km) east of Bodmin. The town is at the head of the Looe valley in the ancient hundred of West Wivelshire. Liskeard was the base of the former Caradon District Council and it still has a town council. There are 3 wards in Liskeard (including Dobwalls).
Liskeard is one of the few towns in Cornwall still to have a regular livestock market, every other Tuesday. There is a range of restaurants, cafes and pubs in the town, and some shops retain their Victorian shopfronts and interiors. Liskeard puts on a pantomime in the last week of January and holds a carnival every June. Every July, Liskeard holds a large agricultural show, The Liskeard Show, which is always held on the second Saturday in July.
Liskeard boasts St. Martin's, the second largest parish church in Cornwall. The Foresters Hall now houses the Tourist Information Office and Liskeard & District Museum. The Foresters still meet in the town at the Public Rooms in West Street. Stuart House (on the Parade) was used by Charles I as a lodging in 1644.
Luxstowe House (1831). Designed by George Wightwick for William Glencross. The Guildhall was built in 1859 and has a prominent clock tower. The Public Hall was constructed in 1890. Webb's House (formerly Webb's Hotel) is a classic early Victorian market-town hotel featuring in royal visits. Pencubitt House was built in 1897 for J. H. Blamey, a wealthy wool merchant. The Liskeard Union Workhouse, architect John Foulston of Plymouth (later the Lamellion Hospital).
Liskeard railway station, on the London Paddington to Penzance Cornish Main Line, and the A38 trunk road provide the town with rapid access to Plymouth, the rest of Cornwall and the motorway network. Liskeard is also served by the Looe Valley branch line to Looe. There are regular bus services to various parts of Cornwall.

Exterior and interior of St Martins church, Looe, Cornwall, UK
Re-uploaded as I accidentally left stabilization on for the previous upload and it was making me seasick
This church is dedicated to St Martin & St Keyne, but is sometimes known as St Martin of Tours. It is predominantly 15th century, with some small parts of an earlier Norman church.
I am often asked why I am so fascinated with churches when I am not the slightest bit religious. For me it is an interest in history. Every town in Britain usually has a local church that people pass every day. They take no notice of it, often only going inside for weddings, christenings and funerals, and yet these churches have been the centre of town life for hundreds of years. Evidence of this social history can be found all over them, and in the cemeteries that surround them. When I am in an old church I can almost feel the history surrounding me. I feel strongly that we should look to preserving our heritage before it is lost to us.
This particular church is next to where I work. I had never been inside for a look around so I decided it was about time I did.
(Filmed in the summer, but I have only just got round to editing and uploading)

St Keyne Holy Well
St Keyne Holy Well is a beautiful holy well next to a minor road near St Keyne in Cornwall. The holy well, not to be mistaken with the holy well of the same name in Kenwyn Churchyard, is an ancient holy well which was originally just a spring however a well house was built over in the 16th century. That well house was in turn replaced with a new well house in 1936 after the lane was widened. This would be illegal today. It is said that Saint Keyne visited this well and cast a spell on it in 602 AD which is that whoever in a married couple drinks the water first will be the leader. The holy well has been used twice on a live broadcast of Paranormal Voice. St Keyne holy well is one of Cornwall's best known holy wells. It is in a beautiful location and really is worth a visit.

Golitha Falls ~ Discovering Cornwall
We start at Rough Tor and take a trip to Golitha Falls, discover a coffee shop and farm shop too! Rum and Tor have fun in the water.
St Endellion's Holy Well, nr Port Issac, Cornwall.
Also showing St Endellion's shrine in the church, filmed during St Endellion's festival.
The well is situated 1/2 a mile due east form the church. Take the lane from the church north towards Port Quinn, after a few hundred yards take the first right and down a track towards an isolated cottage which then turns into public footpath through their garden, just as you leave there garden after ducking under an ash tree, to the left under the embankment is the well. It may not actually be the holywell, but my gut feeling is that it is, I've meditated here many times. It looks like it would have been renovated in the days when villagers often used this well. Quiller Couch says that this well was never failing. St Endellion was one of St Brychans children, a hermit who lived solely on cows milk. Her God father was King arthur, who slew the local landlord for killing St Endellions cow that had strayed onto his land, but Endellion/Endeliana restored him back to life.
