St.Mary the Virgin Chiddingstone.
The present church has 13th century origins but was substantially rebuilt in the 14th century. The fine west tower with its stair turret and four pinnacles was added in the 15th century, also the chapel was enlarged in 1516. Following a lightning strike in 1624, which destroyed all but the tower, the church was rebuilt and rededicated in 1629. It has a ring of eight bells in the tower which were all were rehung in 1991. The font was made in 1628 of local sandstone and has been described as the best production of its period in Kent. The pulpit dates from the same time, also the organ which dates from 1881.(St.Mary the Virgin Website)

Chiding Stone
The Chiding Stone in Chiddingstone.
A large sandstone rock formation, situated on its outskirts, named the Chiding Stone. Chidingstone was a previous spelling used for the village. Tradition asserts that the stone was used as a seat of judgement, mainly to remonstrate overbearing local wives. It has also been described as a Druidical ritual site and more convincingly suggested as being a landmark used as a Saxon boundary marker. Chiddingstone means the stone of Chidda's tribe — Chidda presumably being a local Saxon leader.

Exploring Hamstreet roc and its type 23 pillbox Dec 2018
Hello Tubers,
This was filmed after our visit to the radar station, we had a real battle with the vegetation here, so I hope you enjoy our efforts we crawled threw hawthorn bushes and whacked the brambles out our way, to be rewarded with possibly the worst roc post to date that I've seen,
The real gem is the converted type 23 pillbox, it appears this pillbox may of been converted by roc in there early days when they were plane spotters etc, there is also a telegraph pole stood right next to the pillbox with wire still attached
