Taal Basilica: The Largest Church in Asia (and a marmalade sandwich)
BB and family are out and about, leaving Lipa City heading around Lake Taal to Taal town itself, and on to the Taal Basilica, reportedly the largest Roman Catholic Church in Asia, certainly in the Philippines. The girls are hungry and so we head straight to the cheapest eatery that Little Leg can find. LL eats Halo Halo and Baba feasts on a grilled fish with rice. BB sees a herd of Taal Municipal Police Honda XR150 enduros decked out with lights and sirens, pretty cool beans!
Baba has a play on some slides and swings at the foot of the mighty Basilica while BB relaxes beneath a Kalachuchi tree enjoying its' beautiful scent.
We make it into the Church and it is incredibly beautiful, there is artwork and finery on every surface, it's an amazing building.
Join us in the next video when BB and family climb the stone steps into the belfry and BB has a lively discussion with a Bishop!

Sandwich England folk song - John Drury
Sandwich England folk song sung by local actors is about the story of John Drury (Or John Dury as I'm not sure which spelling is correct).
Why does the Mayor of Sandwich still wear a black robe?
In 1457, Sandwich was attacked by 4,000 Frenchmen (mainly from Honfleur) under Marshal Pierre de Breze or as English accounts call him, Peter Brassey. The parishes of St. Mary and St. Clement were destroyed (except St. Clement's tower). The citizens fought desperately all day until help arrived from the other Cinque Port towns and at about 5.30 pm the French withdrew.
The Mayor of Sandwich, John Drury, was killed along with many citizens. In memory of this event, the Mayor of Sandwich still wears a black robe.
The devastated town did not really recover until a hundred years had passed.
How a campaign to keep church bells ringing in Sandwich is trying to change the law
Save our Chimes is a campaign to keep church bells ringing at St Peter's Church in Sandwich. They are now campaigning to get the law changed, so that council can overrule noise complaints about historic buildings.

Places to see in ( Hawkhurst - UK )
Places to see in ( Hawkhurst - UK )
Hawkhurst is an affluent village and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. The village is located close to the border with East Sussex, around 12 miles (19 km) south-east of Royal Tunbridge Wells, and within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Hawkhurst itself is virtually two villages: The Moor, to the south, consists mainly of cottages clustered around a large triangular green, while Highgate, to the north, features a colonnade of independent shops, two country pubs, hotels, a digital cinema in a converted lecture hall, and Waitrose and Tesco supermarkets.
Since boundary changes in the 2010 general election, Hawkhurst is part of the parliamentary constituency of Tunbridge Wells, represented by Conservative Greg Clark. Prior to this it was in the Maidstone and The Weald constituency, formerly represented by Ann Widdecombe.
Hawkhurst (Kent) lies at the intersection of the A229 and A268 (see map). The village lies on the route of a Roman road which crossed the Weald here. A railway station was built in Hawkhurst in 1892, to the west side of the Cranbrook Road, on the northern edge of the village.
Hawkhurst has over 1,000 years of recorded history. The oldest known settlement was the Saxon manor of Congehurst, which was burnt by the Danes in 893 AD. There is still a lane of this name to the east of the village. The name Hawkhurst is derived from Old English heafoc hyrst, meaning a wooded hill frequented by hawks – 'Hawk Wood'.
In 1886, the largest Barnardo's home for orphans under six years old was built in Hawkhurst, caring for hundreds of babies. It was known as Babies' Castle, and followed nine inspiring principles, known as The Nine Nos. Unfortunately the building stood neglected for many years and was finally demolished in early 2015.
( Hawkhurst - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Hawkhurst . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Hawkhurst - UK

Saint Mary’s Catholic Cathedral 11/13/2018
Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
November 13, 2018
The Saint Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of St. Mary the Virgin, is one of the three Catholic churches in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. With the guidance of the Pope in Rome, it also serves as the headquarters of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Port Moresby, and follows a Roman or Latin liturgical rite of the church.
The cathedral’s structure has an impressive entrance portal in the style of a Sepik Haus Tambaran, a type of traditional ancestral worship house in the East Sepik region of Papua New Guinea. Among its notable visitors was solitary Pope and canonized saint, Saint John Paul II, who paid a visit on May 8, 1984.
