Harrow on the Hill, London, United Kingdom.
Harrow on the Hill is an area of north-west London, England, and part of the London Borough of Harrow. The name refers to Harrow Hill, 408 feet (124 m). The district includes Harrow School. The earliest recorded use of the name is found in 1398 as Harrowe atte Hille. Etymology before then derives from Harrow, which is first recorded in 767 as Gumeninga hergae. A suggested meaning is heathen temple of a tribe called the Gumeningas. The hill has historically been used as a place of pagan worship. It is alternatively explained to mean the church upon the hill. On the 27 April 1646, King Charles I, when fleeing Oxford on his way to Southwell, where he was due to surrender to the Scottish Army, stopped at Harrow on the Hill near St Mary's Church, so that he could take a final glimpse at London and also to water his horses. A plaque on Grove Hill near Harrow School marks the spot, and also says that the spring below has ever since been called King Charles' Well.

Harefield Limeworks aka The Hanging Monkey
Went for a little explore today in my local area. Went to check out the old Limeworks building that sits adjacent with the canal.
The place is also known as The Hanging Monkey which is kind of like an Easter Egg when you actually find the actual Hanging Monkey which sits atop of the main building. Can be easily seen as one enters the site as it's pitched upon top of the building literally just hanging there lol
There's not much to this one, just a short walkabout the old place, what's left of it anyway.
Enjoy!

Decided to visit the church on Sunday (while in town to ring at Bath Abbey), and we heard the bells ringing!
I later found this to be a peal; 'To mark the 30th anniversary of the augmentation and re-dedication of the bells', and also 'in memory of Eric Naylor':

WE visit the interesting and lovely village church of St Mary in the village of Denham just outside Barrow in Suffolk, where we sadly found the church to be firmly locked and with no indication of a key holder who could help us in our desire to film a video record of the interior

Places to see in ( Hayes - UK )
Hayes is a town in west London, situated 13 miles west of Charing Cross. Historically in Middlesex, Hayes became part of the London Borough of Hillingdon in 1965. Hayes has a long history. The area appears in the Domesday Book (1086).
Landmarks in the area include the Grade II* listed Parish Church, St Mary's - the central portion of the church survives from the twelfth century and it remains in use (the church dates back to 830 A.D.) - and Barra Hall, a Grade II listed manor house. The town's oldest public house - the Adam and Eve, on the Uxbridge Road - though not the original seventeenth-century structure, has remained on the same site since 1665.
Hayes is best known as the erstwhile home of EMI. The words Hayes, Middlesex appear on the reverse of The Beatles' albums, which were manufactured at the town's Old Vinyl Factory. The town is the location of the U.K. headquarters of companies including: Heinz, United Biscuits, Fujitsu, and Rackspace U.K.
Hayes is formed of what originally were five separate villages: Botwell, Hayes Town, Hayes End, Wood End and Yeading. The name Hayes Town has come to be applied to the area around Station Road between Coldharbour Lane and Hayes & Harlington railway station, but this was historically the hamlet called Botwell. The original Hayes Town was the area to the east of St Mary's Church, centred around Church Road, Hemmen Lane and Freeman's Lane.
( Hayes - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Hayes . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Hayes - UK
