The Beautiful Isle of Wight 1989 Parody
This very short video is my mickey-take and parody out of a video that I do actually love very much before I go any further. This is based on the original Isle of Wight tourist video The Beautiful Isle of Wight by Video Fair Productions in 1987/1989. I am copying the words and voice of Felicity Fair Kendal who was the narrator, and use a couple of stills from the original video, with the credits at the end being in similar style to the original. No offence to any of the original film-makers or anyone involved, this is merely a very short and light-hearted parody of a video which I love. The short piece of footage was filmed by myself at the beach at Osborne House on 27th August 2013, and filmed on my Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 digital camera. No copyright infringement intended!!
All Saints’ Church, Winkle Street & Calbourne Mill, Isle of Wight
Here is a little video I made after taking my DJI Mavic Pro for a flight around the Calbourne area. I managed to get some decent shots of All Saints’ Church, the very quaint Winkle Street and finally a couple of shots of Calbourne Mill.
I thought it would be a good opportunity to also test my Insta360 One X so integrated some shots from that into the video.

Royal wedding: Meghan's mother COULD repeat history and walk her down the aisle
Queen Victoria walked her third daughter Princess Helena down the aisle at her wedding to Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein in 1866, which came five years after the death of Prince Albert. The monarch repeated the process when giving away her youngest child Princess Beatrice at St Mildred’s Church, Whippingham on the Isle of Wight in 1885.On both occasions, Queen Victoria wore black in memory of her husband, who had died in 1861, with the outfit believed to be encrusted with diamonds. The royal precedent set here towards the end of the nineteenth century has raised the prospect that Meghan’s mother will give her away at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on Saturday.Meghan’s father Thomas has reportedly given his blessing for this to happen should he not be able to attend himself. Related articles Adorable reason Prince Philip chose Queen’s engagement ring revealed Royal wedding: Fans call on Prince Charles to walk Meghan down aisle Commenting on the possibility, royal historian Victoria Howard told the BBC: “I think it would be a lovely touch for Meghan's mother Doria to walk her down the aisle, because they are very close.“It would be unusual but it wouldn't be an unprecedented move. Queen Victoria walked two of her daughters down the aisle, because Prince Albert wasn't around.“So an unusual move, but definitely not unheard of.”Ms Ragland is clear favourite with bookies Betfair to walk Meghan down the aisle at 1/5, followed by her father Thomas Markle (9/2) and Prince Charles (17/2). Meghan is also 10/1 to walk down the aisle on her own.Ms Ragland flew into Britain today to be at her daughter’s side for her marriage to Prince Harry on Saturday. But the attendance of Meghan’s 73-year-old father has been shrouded in doubt following a series of dramatics twists over the past few days.He had initially pulled out of proceedings after he was reportedly caught colluding with paparazzi to stage photos, then insisting he didn’t want to further embarrass his daughter.Yesterday he appeared to backtrack on that decision following reported persuasion from Meghan, adding: “I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle.“Of course I'd walk her down the aisle. This is a historic moment. I'd like to be a part of history.”But then reports emerged that that he was set to undergo heart surgery today, with no confirmation over his attendance for Saturday yet coming to light.

East Cowes is a town and civil parish[4] to the north of the Isle of Wight, on the east bank of the River Medina next to its neighbour on the west bank, Cowes.
The two towns are connected by the Cowes Floating Bridge, a chain ferry operated by the Isle of Wight Council.
East Cowes is the site of Norris Castle, and Osborne House, the former summer residence of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Prince had a major influence on the architecture of the area, for example on the building of St Mildred's Church in nearby Whippingham, which features distinctive turrets imitating those found on a German castle.

This was a squall line that swept across the UK from the West headed eastwards, hitting Kent last.
Strong winds up to 50mph and small hail was observed in the squall line as well as around 10mm falling in less than 10 minutes.
I did get caught in it and got thoroughly soaked!
