[Wikipedia] St Nonna's Church, Altarnun
The Church of St Nonna also known as the Cathedral of the Moor is the second largest church on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, located in the village of Altarnun (meaning: altar of Nonn). The dedication is to Saint Non or Nonna, who was the mother of St David. The church is mentioned in Daphne du Maurier's Jamaica Inn; it is the church in which the evil vicar of Altarnun depicts himself in a painting as a wolf while the members of his congregation have the heads of sheep.
The church is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Trigg Major, the archdeaconry of Bodmin, and the diocese of Truro. Its benefice is united with those of Saint Sidwell and Saint Gulval, Laneast, and Saint Clederus, St Clether. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.

Altarnun Church - Doc Martin Filming Location
Located in the beautiful and peaceful village of Altarnun just minutes off the busy A30 near Launceston, St Nonna's Church is a large church which was used as the filming location for Martin and Louisa's wedding in the Sitcom 'Doc Martin'.
This church, known as the Cathedral of the moor, sits on the edge of Bodmin Moor and dates mostly from the 15th century. Altarnun Parish is the largest parish in Cornwall.
Outside the church near the entrance is an ancient cross which shows that there was an earlier church here before the one which we see today.
Apart from Doc Martin, the church is also famous for being used in Daphne Du Maurier's novel 'Jamaica Inn' as the setting for the evil vicar.
The name Altarnun simply means Altar of St Nun.
Altarnun bridge
This video is of the bridge at Altarnun, near Launceston, Cornwall, UK. The bridge is next to St Nonna's church (there is an organ restoration taking place so I couldn't take a video of the inside).
The bridge is said to be haunted by a priest. Doc Martin 's wedding was filmed at Altarnun church.
The river under this bridge is called Penpont Water.

Standing on an old bridge a few feet above the line off the new bridge vehicles use to cross. As you can see the new bridge is barely visible apart from the rails just above the surface of the water. Sadly houses nearby were flooded. Shot on iPhone 3GS

Warwick Hall Reopens It's Doors
A £3.7m church and community hall in Burford has reopened after seven years after the project was launched. The two-storey renovation has seen the original medieval building near St John the Baptist Church more than triple in size. It will be used for church and community activities as Burford does not have a town hall or community centre.
