St Mary's Cathedral Choir & The Big Three of Rome
In Italy to sing at the official opening by Pope Benedict XVI of Domus Australia later today, the St Mary's Cathedral choir has had been in demand and has had the unforgettable experience of performing at Rome's three main basilica. In between daily rehearsals for the Domus opening, the choir has sung at St Peter's Basilica's Chapel of the Choir, at Basilica Santa di Maggiore and at St Paul's Outside the Walls. The choir has also given a concert at Domus Australia's St Peter Chanel Chapel.

2018/2/6夜、マイク ペンス アメリカ合衆国副大統領が来日されました。アメ車のギラギラビカビカ青灯赤灯を期待していたのですが今回は無しで残念。。。
この場所にした理由
ルートを歩いて確認。施設直近のいいカーブでは「ここはちょっと、、、」と言われる。施設路地から出る所は2017/11大統領の時に撮ったからパス。その先の大きな交差点を対岸からは信号待ち一般車両が溜まったらアウト。別の所は暗い。転回場所は面白いが遠く、ちょいと変化球で車列1発目から冒険したくない。なるべく明るい、直線が長い。という理由でこの交差点に。もっと車道側で撮りたかったが、この交差点担当の方から「ちょっと下がって。」との事で後ろから。脚立を持ってきていたので特に問題なし。

The position of Catholicos-Patriarch of the Ancient Church of the East remained vacant from 1964-1967. In 1968, the adherents to the Julian calendar elected a rival catholicos-patriarch Mar Thoma Darmo while Mar Shimun XXIII continued as the official head of the Assyrian Church of the East. The elected catholicos-patriarch Mar Thoma Darmo was a native of Mesopotamia, a former Metropolitan of the Assyrian Church of the East in India from 1952 to 1968 based at Thrissur, India. He became the head of the Ancient Church of the East in October 1968 and relocated to Baghdad.
Following Patriarch Mar Thoma Darmo's death in 1969, Mar Addai II was elected to head the Ancient Church of the East in February 1970.
The head of the church is the Patriarch of the Church of the East, who also bears the title of Catholicos, presently Mar Addai II. The Ancient Church of the East has an ordained clergy divided into the three traditional orders of deacon, priest (or presbyter), and bishop. It also has an episcopal polity, meaning it is organized into dioceses, each headed by a bishop and made up of several individual parish communities overseen by priests. Dioceses are organized into provinces under the authority of a metropolitan bishop.

Mgr Michael Koch was ordained on June 4th, 1966 by Bishop Klein of Saskatoon. He celebrated his first Mass at St. James Parish in Wilkie.
Died on May 10, 2012 at St. Paul's Hospital at the age of 78.
50-th years of the Youth Choir from Melbourne
Ukrainian Youth Cathedral Choir from Melbourne celebrate his Golden Jubilee. The Ukrainian Choir was established on 4 october, 1959 in affiliation with Brotherhood of the Apostles Peter and Paul in Melbourne. The organizer of the choir, and its director to this day, is Oksana Tarnawska, a graduate of the Melbourne University Conservatorium of Music. In the 50 years of the choir's existence, almost 600 young people have been its members.
2012 Great Kids Deserve Great Books book drop
In May 2011, the Hub City Writers Project collected and distributed more than 5,000 gently-used children's books for summer reading to children at three Spartanburg city schools. This year, thanks to a grant from the Mary Black Foundation, we will expand the program to five schools and intend to collect 7,000 books!

Bring good condition children's and young adult books to these locations for summer reading for five local schools: Houston Elementary, Cleveland Elementary, Carver Middle School, Park Hills Early Learning Center, and Mary H White Elementary.

New archeological finds shed new light on St Paul's Basilica
The Basilica of Saint Paul is one of Rome's four major Churches. It was founded by emperor Constantine over the tomb of apostle Paul, which centuries ago, stood far from Rome's walls. That's why it is also known as Saint Paul Outside the Walls. .
