See Amid the Winters Snow, Freckleton Band, Boxing Day 2009
Freckleton Band, from Lancashire in the UK, have a tradition of carolling on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day each year.
This is Boxing Day morning 2009, Low Brass playing carols to villagers and passers by. Very snowy, icy and slippy, but we still managed to complete the route. Standing on a road as the pavement is too slippy!

Paul's Ride Through Blackburn & The Ribble Valley-6-7-13
On this ride originally videoed in the Summer of 2013, I combine a visit to the Vets to collect some tablets for our cat Jill, with a small tour of my hometown of Blackburn and a small tour of the Ribble Valley on my way home. Blackburn is currently in a transition phase with a major new orbital road being planned/constructed and in some cases sadly, there are a lot of old Victorian built buildings being demolished to make way for modern rubbish! We are very fortunate to live on the edge of the countryside where you can escape on a motorcycle and live free! I hope you enjoy my ride and please subscribe to my YouTube channel at FJR Biker Paul. Thanks for watching!
Plain Bob Royal at St Mary's Church, Bathwick, Somerset
Decided to visit the church on Sunday (while in town to ring at Bath Abbey), and we heard the bells ringing!
I later found this to be a peal; 'To mark the 30th anniversary of the augmentation and re-dedication of the bells', and also 'in memory of Eric Naylor':

Skirrid Fawr Walk & Climb Part 1
Skirrid Fawr Walk & Climb Part 1
Best viewed in 720pHD or 1080pHD
Join us for a walk and climb up to the summit of Skirrid Fawr near Abergavenny, Monmouthshire an elevation of 486 m (1,594 ft).
Ysgyryd Fawr (English: Skirrid) is an easterly outlier of the Black Mountains in Wales, and forms the easternmost part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The mountain is often referred to locally as just The Skirrid. The smaller hill of Ysgyryd Fach or 'Little Skirrid' (270m) lies about 4.5 km / 2.5 mi to the south.
The distinctive shape of this Old Red Sandstone hill comprises a long ridge oriented nearly north–south, with a jagged western side resulting from ice agelandslips . The upper slopes of the hill are composed of Devonian age sandstones assigned to the Senni Formation (formerly known as the 'Senni Beds'). These overlie weaker mudstones of the St Maughans Formation - a situation which has contributed to the instability of the hill's steep flanks, resulting in a very large landslip at the northern end of the mountain, although the British Geological Survey map of the area (Abergavenny sheet) shows the landslide extending along the whole of the west side of the mountain. There are numerous other landslips of a similar nature on the nearby hills, although that on the Skirrid is perhaps the most well known owing to its visibility from several directions. There are also numerous rock tables on the hill, some of which were formed by the landslide, and have attracted names such as the Devil's table. The ridge is very similar in its rocky edge to that found on the Black Hill to the north in Herefordshire.
Downham Village - in the beautiful Ribble Valley - Lancashire
My thanks to Mr Jim Martin for allowing me to use this footage.
Downham is a village and civil parish in Lancashire, England. It is in the Ribble Valley district and as of the United Kingdom 2001 census has a population of 156[1]. The village is on the north side of Pendle Hill off the A59 road about 3 miles (4.8 km) from Clitheroe.
The manor was originally granted to the de Dinelay family in the fourteenth century by Henry of Grosmont, 1st Duke of Lancaster. It ceased to be a part of the Honour of Clitheroe in 1558 when it was purchased by the Assheton family. It still remains in Assheton ownership today but was reincorporated into the Honour of Clitheroe in 1945 when Ralph Assheton, later 1st Baron Clitheroe, bought the remnants of the Honour from the administrators of the Clitheroe Estate Company.
The 2nd Lord Clitheroe does not allow overhead electricity lines, aerials or satellite dishes, making the village a popular location for filming period dramas. Downham was one of the locations used in the 1961 film Whistle Down the Wind, and the series Born and Bred, set in the fictional village of Ormston, was also filmed in the village.
Downham is at the foot of Pendle Hill and the Assheton family, who have lived in Downham Hall since 1558, own the village. Downham is very much in its original condition and there are no overhead electricity lines, aerials, satellite dishes or road markings.
This makes the village a prime location for period films. Whistle Down the Wind and Born and Bred were filmed there. It is said that in the churchyard of St Leonards excavation of the old Roman road in the 18th century the remains of two Roman soldiers were found. The old village stocks can still be seen near the Post Office
A 28km bike ride through Bleasdale in Bowland
This bike ride was inspired by an old newspaper cutting I found from the 2nd World War years.
In 1943, 'Rudge' published several bike rides in The Lancashire Daily Post, they appear to be centralised around Preston.
I started this circular loop from Longridge, first heading towards Bleasdale (bypassing Chipping) before returning by Claughton and Inglewhite.
The route basically circumnavigates Beacon Fell albeit from a distance.

The Churches of Revelation: The Totality of the Church
This is the first part in the Bible study series: The Churches of Revelation. This Bible study will provide an introduction and overview of the churches of Revelation—giving especially some history, geography and context—so that as we study each congregation in detail in subsequent studies we will more fully appreciate what we are reading. The churches spoken of in Revelation 2 and 3 have multiple meanings and applications—both of the actual congregations of the first century A.D., and of our church down through time.
