The Church dates back to Saxon times so has a long history. A little research will find you loads of info.
From the top you are around 90 Feet above the base though the Church is located in one of the lowest part of the town.
As you can see there are some interesting views to be seen. Also on a clear day you can see the towers of 7 other Churches though today only 5 were clearly visible.
I've left the natural sound as you can hear the guide explaining some of the above.
The large cleared area you see is where Express Works used to be which is featured in another video after a local set it ablaze .

Kettering is a town in Northamptonshire, England, about 81 miles north of London and 15 miles from Northampton. Kettering is mainly situated on the west side of the River Ise, a tributary of the River Nene which meets at Wellingborough. Originally named Cytringan, Kyteringas and Keteiringan in the 10th century, the name Kettering is now taken to mean 'the place (or territory) of Ketter's people (or kinsfolk).

Kettering is twinned with Lahnstein, in Germany and Kettering, Ohio, in the United States. Being part of the Milton Keynes South Midlands (MKSM) study area along with other towns in Northamptonshire, the town of Kettering is due to get around 6,000 additional homes mainly to the east of the town. Kettering , like other towns in the area, has a growing commuter population as it is located on the Midland Main Line railway, which has fast InterCity trains directly into London St Pancras International taking around 1 hour. This gives an interchange Eurostar services to Continental Europe.

The A14 skirts the west and south of the town, links the town with the A45 dual carriageway, M1 and M6 motorways. The A6003 links Kettering to Corby. The A43 links Kettering with Corby and the county town of Northampton and the A509 ( Kettering / Wellingborough Road ) links Kettering with Wellingborough. Rail services operated by East Midlands Trains depart every 30 minutes from Kettering to St Pancras International railway station, with an average journey time of 59 minutes.

Wicksteed Park is an amusement park in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. The park opened in 1921. It is the second oldest theme park in the UK; the oldest is Blackgang Chine on the Isle of Wight. It is located 2 miles (3.2 km) from the A14 and is signposted from the M1 & A1 and located near the Midland Main Line between London and Sheffield.

The Church Of St Peter. Dyrham In South Gloucestershire.

The Anglican parish church of St Peter was originally built in the mid 13th century and had a three-stage tower added in the 15th, however it was extensively restored when the main house was built in the late 17th century. The church consists of a north and south aisle, chancel and south west porch with the tower to the west. In the south aisle are encaustic tiles dating from the 13th century.The font is Norman while the pulpit is Jacobean. There is also a 16th-century Flemish altar triptych.
The church is not owned by the National Trust but is closely associated with the rest of the estate and has the tombs and memorials for many owners of the house. The parish is part of the benefice of Wick with Doynton and Dyrham, within the Diocese of Bristol.

St Botolph’s in Barton Seagrave, Kettering

Located at St Botolph's Rd, Barton Seagrave, Kettering NN15 6SR, UK. I laid my hands reverently on the original Christening Font at St Botolph’s Church that was built in 1120. The Barton-Seagrave historian, Anne Pegg, told us that Thomas Paget, who was born in 1490 in Barton-Seagrave, was undoubtedly baptized in that very font over 500 years ago. St Botolph’s was the only church in the village and everyone was Catholic prior to the beginning of the reformation period in England. Thomas Paget would have walked around this beautiful churchyard as a child. The thought probably never crossed his mind that 500 years later his 13th great granddaughter would fly over a huge ocean from a land yet to be discovered in search of anything that was significant about his life and family. As I walked where he walked, my eyes filled with tears. It was truly a sacred experience.

In the same town, across the way, sits Barton Hall, which is the ancestral home of the Humphrey's family built in 1550. Anne Humphrey is the wife of Thomas Paget (1490) and they are my 13th great grandparents. The exact connection between Anne Humphrey's and Barton Hall is still being researched.

Northamptonshire Churches: Britain's Best Surprise

Northamptonshire is populated with some of the country’s most beautiful and interesting churches. In date they stretch from Saxon times (Brixworth is the largest remaining 9th century church of it’s type in Europe) to the 20th century (with Ninian Comper’s masterpiece at St Marys Wellingborough).

I stumbled across this splendid Church whilst looking for something else. Here's some information about the church

St. Michael's is the Parish Church, approximately 1000 years old, with seating for 100. There is a carved marble figure of Lady Elizabeth Carey, mother of the Earl of Danby, on the south side of the altar. She died in 1630. The figure has been described as one of the finest pieces of sculpture of the age for both design and execution.

A memorial to Dr. Thomas Turner, President of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, who died in 1714, is situated on the south wall.
